Remote Contract Role – SAP Vertex Tax Consultant

Infosys is seeking an experienced SAP Vertex Tax Consultant for a remote contract opportunity. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience implementing and supporting Vertex integration with SAP , with deep expertise in tax determination, VAT, and withholding tax processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and support end-to-end implementation of Vertex integration with SAP .
- Perform SAP and Vertex configuration, integration, troubleshooting, and support across connected applications.
- Translate business requirements into standard and customized solutions within the tax domain, with a focus on Vertex, tax, VAT determination, and withholding tax .
- Configure and maintain Vertex tax solutions, including tax rules, calculations, and data structures.
- Work extensively with Vertex configurations such as:
- Tax Product Category (TPC)
- Tax Product Driver (TPD)
- Tax Assist Rules
- Support both Output Tax and Input Tax processes.
- Analyze global and country-specific tax requirements and translate them into appropriate SAP/Vertex solutions.
- Collaborate effectively with functional and technical teams to understand and communicate technical requirements.
- Support integration across SAP FI, MM, and SD and related business processes.
- Provide expertise across key SAP FICO business processes,



including P2P, OTC, AP, AR, and GL .
- Troubleshoot tax determination and integration issues and provide effective solutions.

Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience with SAP Vertex end-to-end implementations .
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP and Vertex configuration and troubleshooting .
- Deep knowledge of the Vertex tax engine , including tax rules, tax calculations, and data structure configuration.
- Strong experience configuring TPC, TPD, and Tax Assist Rules .
- Experience with both Input and Output Taxes .
- Strong understanding of global and country-specific tax procedures .
- Excellent knowledge of SAP FICO business processes , including P2P, OTC, AP, AR, and GL.
- Positive understanding of SAP MM/SD/FI integration processes .
- Strong expertise in Tax, VAT determination, and Withholding Tax .
- Ability to translate business requirements into practical standard/custom SAP Vertex solutions.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
