SAP ABAP on HANA Consultant – Level 9

We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP on HANA Consultant (Level 9) with strong expertise in advanced ABAP development, HANA-optimized programming, and SAP IS-U domain exposure. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and support high-performance SAP applications using modern ABAP on HANA concepts, including CDS views, OData services, and integration technologies.

Must-Have Skills

1. ABAP & Object-Oriented Development

- Strong OO ABAP with reusable design patterns, custom classes, interfaces, and exception handling
- ALV reporting and advanced ABAP reporting techniques

2. CDS, HANA Modeling & Analytics

- CDS Views (analytical, composite, and consumption views)
- HANA-optimized data modeling and performance tuning
- AMDP (ABAP Managed Database Procedures)
- Integration of CDS with Fiori List Reports and analytical tools (RSRT, Excel-based reporting)

3. OData & Integration Development

- OData services (V2 and V4) development
- CRUD operations, function imports, and deep entity handling
- Integration with SAP CPI and external/non-SAP systems

4. Business Rules & Process Automation

- BRF+ rule modeling for decision automation
- Meter event processing and post-processing rule automation

5. Forms & Output Management

- Adobe Forms and Smart Forms development
- Billing documents, work orders, safety forms, and correspondence outputs

6. Interfaces & Middleware





- ALE/IDoc development (especially outbound processing)
- Integration with PI/CPI middleware
- Web service proxies and MDMS interface handling

7. Workflow & Enhancements

- SAP Workflow development (event-driven workflows, agent determination, monitoring)
- SAP Enhancement Framework (BADI, User Exits, Customer Exits, Enhancement Spots, Screen Exits, TMG events)

Good-to-Have Skills

- SAP CPI integration experience
- SAP Fiori application exposure
- S/4HANA ABAP development experience
- HANA performance tuning and optimization
- Debugging and optimization of complex interfaces

Functional Exposure (Any One or More)

- Meter Data Management (MDM) / Energy Data Management (EDM)
- IS-U Billing
- IS-U FICA (Financial Contract Accounting)
- Move-In / Move-Out processes

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop scalable ABAP solutions on SAP HANA
- Build and optimize CDS views and AMDP-based logic
- Develop and maintain OData services for Fiori and external integrations
- Implement BRF+ rules for business process automation
- Develop and support SAP forms and output documents
- Manage interface development using IDoc, ALE, and CPI integrations
- Design and support SAP workflow processes
- Implement enhancements using SAP enhancement frameworks
- Collaborate with functional teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Ensure performance optimization and adherence to SAP best practices

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a senior SAP ABAP on HANA expert (Level 9) with strong technical depth in contemporary ABAP development, HANA optimization, and integration technologies. Exposure to IS-U processes is highly preferred.
