Position - EHS Officer

Location - Bangalore

PURPOSE

Ensure a safe and compliant work environment by implementing and enforcing EHS practices, identifying hazards, ensuring proper use of safety equipment, and maintaining adherence to statutory and legal requirements.

AREAS OF OWNERSHIP & ACCOUNTABILITY

- Implementation of EHS Practices: [Enforce safe work practices and procedures on-site in accordance with company policies and legal requirements]
- Hazard Identification & Risk Mitigation: [ Identify and correct unsafe acts or hazardous conditions to minimize risks, Monitor the workplace regularly to assess and rectify hazardous situations.]
- Proper Use of PPE & Safety Devices:[Ensure all personnel use personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety devices correctly. Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance.]
- EHS Training & Awareness:[Conduct Toolbox Talks, Mass Toolbox Talks, and job-specific safety training sessions. Organize and document mock drills and EHS committee meetings.]
- Compliance with Legal Requirements: [Ensure site activities comply with BOCWA and all other statutory and legal requirements. Conduct inspections of fire extinguishers, power tools, lifting equipment, and mechanical equipment.]
- Third-Party Inspections & Certification: [Ensure third-party inspections are completed for all lifting tools and certifications are maintained.]
- Health & Medical Safety: [Organize medical camps at the site and maintain proper records. Conduct inspections of labor camps to ensure hygienic and protected conditions.]
- Incident Reporting & NCRs: [Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for all unsafe acts or conditions.



Maintain and monitor documentation for EHS compliance and incident reports.]

DELIVERABLES

- EHS Compliance Reports Reports on compliance with BOCWA and other legal requirements. [Monthly]
- EHS Training Logs Detailed records of Toolbox Talks, mock drills, and job-specific activity training. [Monthly]
- Inspection Reports Inspection logs for fire extinguishers, power tools, lifting equipment, and labor camps. [Weekly]
- Incident & NCR Reports Records of all unsafe conditions, incidents, and corrective actions taken. [Monthly]
- Medical Camp & Health Records Documentation of medical camps and health check-ups organized for site workers. [Monthly]
- Third-Party Certification Records Logs of third-party inspections and certifications for lifting tools and equipment [As per inspections frequency]
- EHS Committee Meeting Minutes Records of EHS committee meetings and decisions. [Monthly]
- Reduction in Workplace Incidents [Percentage decrease in incidents related to unsafe acts or conditions]
- Timeliness of Inspections & Compliance: [Percentage of inspections completed on time and compliance with legal standards]
- PPE Compliance: [Percentage of personnel using PPE correctly.]
- EHS Training Participation: [Number of workers trained in EHS practices and safety procedures.]
- NCR Resolution Time: [Average time taken to resolve Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).]

REQUIREMENT

- BE / B.Tech / Diploma in Engineering or B.Sc 1-year Degree/Diploma in Industrial Safety (covering Construction Safety)
- 5-12 years of experience in residential/commercial projects (including high-rise Building)
