Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Resident Medical Officer (RMO) to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team at our Karjat center. The RMO will play a critical role in the medical management of psychiatric and de-addiction patients, including clinical assessments, treatment planning, medication oversight, emergency care, and overall medical operations. You will work collaboratively with psychiatrists, psychologists, counsellors, and nursing staff to provide integrated, patient-centred care.
Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Management & Patient Care:
- Conduct thorough physical and mental health evaluations of all admitted patients
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans in collaboration with the psychiatric and clinical team
- Manage and monitor patient medications, dosing adjustments, and potential side effects
- Assess patient medical history, vital signs, and overall health status
- Maintain clinical responsibility for patient care when and as required
Emergency & Crisis Management:
- Provide immediate emergency medical care and stabilization
- Manage acute psychiatric or addiction-related crises
- Handle medical complications arising during treatment
- Ensure prompt response to patient medical emergencies
Daily Operations & Leadership:
- Conduct center rounds and monitor day-to-day medical functions thoroughly
- Oversee medical records management and patient documentation
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary staff to ensure seamless care delivery
- Maintain accurate, confidential, and compliant medical records
- Contribute to the overall development and improvement of the healthcare team
Administrative Support
- Support administrative functions of the center
- Assist in regulatory and compliance matters
- Participate in quality assurance and patient safety initiatives
- Contribute to clinical audits and performance improvements
Training & Development:
- Receive comprehensive training on Calida Rehab protocols and procedures
- Participate in ongoing professional development programs
- Share knowledge and mentor junior clinical staff where applicable
- Stay updated with latest medical and psychiatric care practices
Adherence to Standards
- Adhere strictly to regulatory and ethical standards in patient care
- Maintain confidentiality and patient privacy at all times
- Follow hospital protocols, infection control measures, and safety guidelines
- Ensure compliance with Maharashtra Medical Council regulations
Required QualificationsEducation & Licensing (Mandatory):
- Bachelor's Degree in Medicine: BHMS (Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine) / BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine) / MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery)
- Valid Maharashtra State Medical Registration: Must possess active registration with Maharashtra Medical Council (MMC)
Experience Minimum 2-3 years of relevant medical experience in any field
Experience in psychiatry, de-addiction, or mental health care is preferred but not mandatory
Proven skills in emergency medical management and critical patient care
Professional Skills
Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic abilities
Excellent medication management and prescribing knowledge
Proficiency in emergency medical protocols and crisis intervention
Strong communication skills – both written and verbal
Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
Strong organizational and time-management abilities
Commitment to patient-centred, compassionate care
Work Requirements
Ability to work 8-hour shifts on a consistent, rotating basis
Flexibility to work at either Karjat or Pune center as per organizational needs
Willingness to be on-call for emergencies when scheduled
Ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations
