Position: TGT – Chemistry / Foundation Faculty
Department: Science

Reporting To: Principal / Head of Department
Position Overview The TGT Chemistry Foundation Faculty will be responsible for delivering high-quality, concept-oriented Chemistry education while strengthening students’ fundamentals, analytical thinking, scientific reasoning and problem-solving abilities. The faculty member will follow the CBSE curriculum and support students in developing a strong foundation for higher secondary education and competitive examinations.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Chemistry lessons aligned with CBSE curriculum and learning outcomes.
- Develop strong conceptual understanding of fundamental Chemistry principles.
- Strengthen students’ analytical thinking, logical reasoning, numerical ability and problem-solving skills.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, question banks and revision materials.
- Use innovative, activity-based, experimental and technology-enabled teaching methodologies.
- Integrate practical demonstrations and laboratory-based learning wherever appropriate.
- Provide foundation-level preparation for competitive examinations such as JEE/NEET, as applicable to the school programme.
- Identify learning gaps and provide appropriate remedial support and individual attention.
- Encourage advanced learners through higher-order thinking questions and challenging problem-solving activities.
- Conduct regular assessments, analyse student performance and implement improvement strategies.
- Prepare students for CBSE assessments through competency-based, application-oriented and analytical questions.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance, assessments and academic progress.
- Promote safe and effective laboratory practices.
- Collaborate with the Science department in curriculum planning, assessments and academic initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with students and parents regarding academic progress.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional-development programmes and school activities.
- Stay updated with CBSE curriculum developments, assessment patterns and modern Chemistry teaching methodologies.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Chemistry or a relevant discipline from a recognised university.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong command of Chemistry concepts and fundamentals.
- Ability to explain complex concepts in a simple, transparent and engaging manner.
- Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent classroom-management and student-engagement skills.
- Ability to develop high-quality academic resources and assessments.
- Familiarity with CBSE competency-based and application-oriented assessment patterns.
- Proficiency in digital teaching tools and smart-classroom technology.
- Excellent communication, mentoring and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for teaching and commitment to student achievement.
Experience 2–5 years of teaching experience in a CBSE/reputed school is preferred. Experience in foundation programmes, Olympiad preparation, JEE/NEET-oriented Chemistry or competitive-examination preparation will be an added advantage.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
