Role Description The Railway Ticketing Agent role at The Travel Konnection is a full-time, on-site position based in Kolkata. The agent is responsible for handling daily ticket sales and reservations for railway travel, including issuing tickets, managing booking changes, and processing cancellations. This role involves assisting customers at the counter or office, answering inquiries about schedules, fares, routes, and seat availability, and providing clear, accurate information.

The agent maintains up-to-date knowledge of railway policies and systems, manages cash and electronic transactions,



and ensures records are accurate and compliant. The role also requires collaborating with team members to resolve customer issues, support promotional offers, and maintain a skilled, customer-focused environment.

Qualifications

- Strong customer-facing skills, including Customer Service and Communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Ticket Sales and Sales, with the ability to meet or exceed targets ethically.
- Experience managing Reservations and booking processes for railway or other travel services.
- Basic computer skills, familiarity with ticketing or CRM software, and accurate data entry.
- Attention to detail, reliability in handling cash and digital payments, and adherence to procedures.
- Ability to work on-site in Kolkata, including flexible shifts, weekends, or holidays as needed.
- Prior experience in travel, hospitality, or railway ticketing is preferred but not mandatory.
- Minimum educational background of high school diploma or equivalent; additional travel-related training is an advantage.
