Rating Analyst - Credit Ratings - 1-5 Years - Mumbai Are you a finance professional with strong experience in Credit Analysis, Corporate Credit, Financial Modelling, and Risk Assessment? We are looking for a Rating Analyst to independently undertake rigorous credit risk analysis of large corporates, prepare rating recommendations, and engage with key stakeholders across the credit rating process.

Responsibilities

- Analyze companies' financial and business performance, including historical performance, peer benchmarking, and projections of future financial performance.
- Independently conduct rigorous credit risk analysis of large corporates, covering industry research, business assessment, financial analysis, and evaluation of key credit risks.
- Conduct detailed industry and company research to assess business positioning, operating environment, competitive landscape, and relevant market developments.
- Prepare comprehensive rating reports that clearly articulate the analysis, key credit factors, risks, and rationale supporting the recommended rating.
- Ensure timely delivery of rating assignments while maintaining high standards of analytical quality, accuracy, and presentation.




- Manage client relationships and engage with key management personnel to discuss financial performance, business developments, credit considerations, and final ratings.
- Present rating recommendations to the Rating Committee, respond to questions, and provide necessary analysis and clarifications in support of rating decisions.
- Contribute to franchise-building initiatives, including sectoral press releases, webinars, thought leadership content, and industry conferences.
- Ensure all rating activities and deliverables adhere to applicable regulatory frameworks, internal processes, and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and research teams to stay updated on market trends, industry developments, financial markets, and emerging credit considerations.

Requirements

- 1-5 years of experience in Credit Analysis, Financial Modelling, Risk Assessment, Corporate Credit, or a related area within a reputed organization.
- MBA/PGDM or equivalent qualification from a top B-school, with an excellent academic track record.
- Strong understanding of financial markets, financial instruments, and regulatory frameworks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently assess complex credit situations.
- Strong understanding of corporate financial statements, financial performance, and credit risk assessment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.




- Strong client management and stakeholder management capabilities.
