Quality Engineer (Mechanical)

We are hiring a Quality Engineer (Mechanical) for our team in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. The candidate will be responsible for mechanical inspection, quality control, documentation, and coordination with production and other teams to maintain product quality.

Candidates with experience in mechanical manufacturing, precision engineering, automation, scientific instruments, or product development are preferred.

Responsibilities

- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspection of mechanical components and assemblies.
- Inspect machined, fabricated, sheet metal, and precision components.
- Check component dimensions, tolerances, surface finish, and assembly quality.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and mechanical specifications.
- Use measuring instruments such as Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gauges, Dial Indicators, and Bore Gauges.
- Identify quality issues and assist with root cause analysis.
- Support corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Maintain inspection reports, quality records, and non-conformance reports.
- Coordinate with Production, Design, Purchase, and Vendor teams regarding quality issues.
- Support incoming material inspection and supplier quality activities.




- Follow quality procedures and manufacturing standards.
- Assist with process improvement and quality improvement activities.

Requirements
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in quality or mechanical manufacturing.
- Good knowledge of mechanical inspection and quality control.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and understand mechanical tolerances.
- Knowledge of GD&T; is preferred.
- Practical knowledge of mechanical measuring instruments.
- Knowledge of machining, fabrication, sheet metal, and assembly processes.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good documentation and communication skills.

Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and 5S.
- Knowledge of CAPA, FMEA, 7 QC Tools, SPC, and Root Cause Analysis.
- Experience with supplier quality management.
- Knowledge of CMM is an advantage.
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems is preferred.

Salary ₹20,000 – ₹30,000 per month, based on experience and skills.
