Position Title

Qualification
- B.Sc. / M.Sc. / in Polymer Chemistry more preferable, Organic Chemistry, or Analytical Chemistry.
- Approval as Competent Staff (where applicable)
Experience
- 1–3 years of relevant experience, preferably in the Quality Control department of a chemical manufacturing, specialty chemicals, or intermediate chemical plant.
Job Purpose To ensure quality compliance of raw materials, intermediates, packing materials, and finished goods through systematic sampling, testing, analysis, documentation, and reporting. The role also supports product development activities, customer trials, and maintenance of quality management systems in accordance with organizational and ISO requirements. To perform Quality Control and Technical Laboratory activities related to raw materials, intermediates, finished products, polymers, resins, paper chemicals, ceramics chemicals, and customer-specific products, ensuring that products consistently meet defined quality, safety, application, and customer requirements. The position will support laboratory synthesis, analytical testing, application trials, product development, troubleshooting, customer trials, quality documentation, calibration, audits, and continuous improvement activities in coordination with the Quality Control, Production, Technical, Marketing, and other concerned departments.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Control & Testing
1. Execute all tasks assigned by the Head of Department (HOD) effectively and within the stipulated timelines.
2. Inspect and evaluate raw materials, intermediates, packing materials,
and finished goods for compliance with quality specifications.
3. Identify, report, and document non-conforming materials and products through NCRD (Non-Conformance Report Documentation).
4. Analyze finished goods and communicate test results to the concerned departments.
5. Conduct laboratory synthesis for evaluation of monomers and development of customer-specific tailor-made products and laboratory batches.
6. Monitor the quality performance of Water Treatment Chemicals Products through application trials and testing.
Sampling & Inspection
1. Perform sampling of incoming raw materials, intermediates, packing materials, and finished goods as per approved procedures.
2. Maintain accurate records of sampling, inspection, testing, and analysis activities.
3. Forward inspection reports to designated departments/stakeholders for further action.
4. Ensure proper identification, storage, and maintenance of approved finished goods samples and retain samples.
Documentation & Quality Systems
1. Maintain records related to product analysis, quality status, and allocation of finished goods.
2. Prepare laboratory reagents and perform standardization of test methods as per established procedures.
3. Maintain quality records in compliance with ISO standards and company quality management systems.
4. Ensure accurate documentation, traceability,
and record retention in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Coordination & Customer Support
1. Coordinate with the Marketing Department for timely dispatch of samples as per customer or business requirements.
2. Support product evaluations, customer-specific requirements, and technical assessments as needed.
3. Travel to customer locations, when required, to support product trials, application testing, and technical evaluations.
General Responsibilities
1. Follow all laboratory safety, environmental, and company procedures.
2. Maintain cleanliness, organization, and good laboratory practices within the QC laboratory.
3. Perform any other duties assigned by Management or immediate superiors from time to time.
