Job Overview

We are looking for a hands-on Quality Control Engineer/Inspector to ensure the quality and dimensional accuracy of sheet metal products across our vendor network.

This is a field-oriented role involving regular travel to different vendor locations in and around Mumbai for inspection and quality follow-up.

Key Responsibilities

1. Quality Inspection & Testing

- Perform visual and dimensional inspection of sheet metal/fabricated components.
- Verify products against engineering drawings, specifications and samples.
- Coordinate NDT and quality tests such as UT, MPT, DFT, Impact Test, etc.
- Inspect welding, bending, fabrication, surface finish and workmanship.
- Supervise the loading of Container / Trucks at vendor’s place.
- Preparation of packing list
- Ensure the proper labelling on the product and packing quality

2. Quality Assurance

- Implement and follow quality procedures at various stages of manufacturing.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and customer requirements.

3. Root Cause Analysis

- Investigate quality issues and identify root causes.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for corrective and preventive actions.

4. Documentation & Reporting

- Maintain inspection reports, measurement records and quality documentation.
- Prepare rejection, inspection and basic quality trend reports.

5. Supplier / Vendor Quality Management





- Conduct incoming inspection of raw materials and components.
- Visit vendors for inspection and follow-up on quality issues.
- Coordinate with vendors and procurement teams to resolve quality concerns.

6. Training & Improvement

- Guide production/vendor teams on quality requirements and inspection practices.
- Support continuous improvement and reduction of rejection/rework.

Requirements

- ITI or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Production Engineering field.
- Experience in sheet metal, fabrication, manufacturing or vendor quality inspection preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of measuring instruments such as Vernier, Micrometer, etc.
- Knowledge of quality control principles and inspection techniques.
- Valuable analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Must be willing to travel regularly between different vendor locations.
- Candidates looking for an office-based/desk-only QC role or unwilling to travel to vendors will not be suitable.

Ideal Candidate ITI/Diploma + hands-on QC experience + comfortable with vendor visits + willing to travel.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
