About the Role
We are looking for an experienced QA Manager Automation Testing to lead our test automation strategy and quality engineering function across Ivy Mobility's enterprise SaaS products and applications.
The role will be responsible for defining the test automation strategy, framework architecture, automation roadmap, quality engineering practices, and CI/CD integration, while leading a team of QA Automation Engineers.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, API Automation, Java/.NET/Python, SQL, CI/CD, and automation framework development, along with proven experience managing QA teams and driving automation transformation.
You will work closely with Product, Engineering, Architecture, DevOps, Business, and Delivery teams to build scalable automation solutions and ensure high-quality, reliable, and faster product releases.
Key Responsibilities
Automation Strategy & Leadership
- Define and drive the overall QA Automation Strategy and Automation Roadmap across products and releases.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing QA Automation team.
- Establish automation standards, coding practices, framework guidelines, and quality engineering processes.
- Identify opportunities to increase automation coverage, testing efficiency, and release velocity.
- Define automation KPIs and continuously monitor automation effectiveness and ROI.
- Drive the transition from manual regression testing to automation-first quality engineering wherever appropriate.
Automation Framework & Engineering
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reusable, and maintainable automation frameworks.
- Evaluate and select appropriate automation tools and technologies based on product requirements.

- Establish reusable components, libraries, utilities, test data frameworks, and reporting mechanisms.
- Ensure automation scripts are stable, maintainable, and provide meaningful test coverage.
- Review automation code and establish code quality and review standards.
CI/CD & Quality Engineering
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines.
- Work closely with DevOps teams to implement automated quality gates.
- Enable automated regression testing as part of continuous integration and continuous delivery.
- Analyze automation failures and distinguish between product defects, environment issues, and test-script failures.
- Drive continuous improvements in test execution time, reliability, and pipeline efficiency.
API & Data Automation
- Build and maintain automated API test suites for REST/SOAP services.
- Validate API responses, business rules, integrations, authentication, error handling, and data integrity.
- Implement automated database validation using SQL.
- Drive automation for integration and microservices-based architectures.
Test Planning & Quality Assurance
- Own the automation component of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Review requirements and identify automation opportunities early in the development lifecycle.
- Develop automation strategies aligned with functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing requirements.
- Partner with manual QA teams to identify high-value regression scenarios for automation.
- Participate in release planning and provide automation-based quality insights and Go/No-Go recommendations.
- Ensure automation coverage is aligned with critical business workflows and customer journeys.
Continuous Improvement
- Establish automation metrics such as:
- Automation Coverage
- Pass/Fail Rate

- Execution Time
- Defect Detection Rate
- Defect Leakage
- Automation ROI
- Identify and eliminate flaky tests.
- Continuously improve automation framework performance and maintainability.
- Evaluate emerging automation technologies and AI-assisted testing opportunities.
- Promote a culture of Quality Engineering and Shift-Left Testing.
Required Skills & Experience
- 10–14 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance / Quality Engineering.
- Strong experience in Test Automation and Automation Framework Development.
- Proven experience leading and managing QA Automation teams.
- Strong hands-on experience with one or more automation frameworks/tools:
- Selenium
- Playwright
- Cypress
- Appium or similar mobile automation tools
- Strong programming experience in at least one language:
- Java
- C#/.NET
- Python
- Strong experience in API Automation using tools/frameworks such as REST Assured, Postman/Newman, Playwright, Karate, or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and database testing/validation.

- Experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, TestRail, Zephyr, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of automation framework design patterns such as Page Object Model, Data-Driven, Keyword-Driven, and Hybrid frameworks.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
