Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced QA Lead with strong expertise in Workday functional testing and hands-on experience with Kainos Smart Test automation. The candidate will be responsible for leading end-to-end QA activities across Workday implementations, enhancements, integrations, and release cycles.

The role requires robust testing knowledge, stakeholder management skills, and the ability to drive testing activities across SIT, UAT, regression, and production releases.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead functional, integration, system, regression, and end-to-end testing for Workday applications.
- Develop and review test strategies, test plans, test scenarios, and test cases.
- Use Kainos Smart Test to automate Workday test scenarios and improve test coverage.
- Manage the complete defect lifecycle, including defect logging, triage, root cause analysis, tracking, and closure.
- Coordinate with business users, Workday consultants, developers, and other project stakeholders throughout testing cycles.
- Drive SIT, UAT, regression testing, release validation, and production deployment testing.
- Validate Workday business processes, security roles, reports, integrations, and data conversion activities.
- Prepare test execution reports, defect reports, dashboards, and quality metrics.
- Ensure testing deliverables are completed within agreed timelines and quality standards.
- Identify testing risks, dependencies, and gaps and recommend appropriate mitigation plans.
- Establish and promote QA best practices, standards, and processes.




- Mentor junior QA team members and provide guidance on Workday testing and automation.
- Support continuous improvement of testing processes and automation coverage.

Required Skills

- 4–6 years of experience in Software Testing / Quality Assurance.
- Strong hands-on experience in Workday HCM Testing.
- Hands-on experience with Kainos Smart Test automation.
- Strong understanding of Workday modules, including:
- Core HCM
- Recruitment
- Compensation
- Absence Management
- Talent Management
- Time Tracking
- Experience in Functional, SIT, UAT, End-to-End, Integration, and Regression Testing.
- Strong experience in test planning, test case design, execution, and testing documentation.
- Experience with defect management tools such as JIRA or equivalent.
- Understanding of Workday integrations and integration testing.
- Good understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Workday certification is preferred.
- Experience in the Banking / Financial Services domain is an advantage.
- Experience working on Workday implementation, enhancement, or transformation programs.
- Exposure to API and integration testing.
- Knowledge of automated testing frameworks and QA best practices.
- Experience coordinating testing activities across multiple teams and stakeholders.
