We are looking for a Purchase Assistant to assist in day-to-day procurement activities and vendor coordination. The candidate will be responsible for managing quotations, purchase orders, material follow-ups, and maintaining purchase records.
Responsibilities
- Handle daily purchase and procurement activities.
- Collect and compare vendor quotations.
- Prepare Purchase Orders (POs).
- Coordinate with vendors for pricing, quality and delivery.
- Follow up with suppliers for timely material delivery.
- Maintain purchase records, invoices and vendor details.
- Coordinate with Store/Inventory and Accounts departments.
- Assist in vendor selection and development.
- Maintain purchase reports using MS Excel/ERP.
- Ensure timely availability of required materials.
Requirements
- Graduate in B.Com, BBA or any relevant field.
- 1–3 years of experience in Purchase/Procurement preferred.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.
- Good communication and vendor coordination skills.
- Strong follow-up and negotiation skills.
- ERP/Purchase software knowledge will be an advantage.
- Candidates from engineering/manufacturing/industrial companies will be preferred.
