About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Production Planning professional to manage and optimize production planning, scheduling, material availability, and production coordination across the manufacturing operations.

The ideal candidate should have 6–7 years of experience in Production Planning / PPC, preferably in the furniture manufacturing or related manufacturing industry, along with strong hands-on experience in Odoo ERP.

Roles & ResponsibilitiesProduction Planning & Scheduling

- Develop daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on project requirements, sales orders, and delivery schedules.
- Prepare production schedules and ensure timely execution as per customer/project timelines.
- Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Stores, Quality, Design, and Project teams to ensure smooth production flow.
- Monitor production progress against planned quantities and timelines.
- Identify bottlenecks, capacity constraints, and production delays and take corrective actions.
- Optimize manpower, machine capacity, and production resources.

Odoo ERP – Production Planning
- Manage and monitor production planning activities through Odoo ERP.
- Create and manage Manufacturing Orders (MOs), Bills of Materials (BOMs), work orders, and production schedules.
- Ensure accurate production data and timely ERP updates.
- Monitor material requirements and coordinate with Purchase/Stores for material availability.
- Track production status and provide accurate reports through Odoo.




- Support ERP process improvements and ensure proper utilization of Odoo modules related to manufacturing and inventory.

Material & Inventory Coordination
- Coordinate with Purchase and Stores teams to ensure availability of raw materials and components as per production requirements.
- Monitor material shortages and initiate timely action to avoid production interruptions.
- Maintain proper coordination between production planning and inventory levels.
- Support reduction of excess inventory, material wastage, and production losses.

MIS & Reporting
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production planning and performance reports.
- Monitor Plan vs. Actual Production and identify variances.
- Track production efficiency, pending orders, capacity utilization, and delivery commitments.
- Provide management with regular updates on production status, delays, and critical issues.
- Maintain accurate production planning records and ERP data.

Team Coordination & Management
- Lead and coordinate with production planning/PPC team members.
- Allocate planning activities and monitor team performance.
- Work closely with Production Managers and Shop Floor Supervisors to ensure execution of plans.
- Conduct regular production review meetings and follow up on action points.
- Ensure effective communication between departments.

Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency, productivity,



and delivery performance.
- Support implementation of lean manufacturing and process improvement initiatives.
- Reduce production lead time, bottlenecks, rework, and unnecessary downtime.
- Develop and implement effective production planning and control systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 6–7 years of experience in Production Planning / PPC / Manufacturing Operations.
- Robust hands-on experience in Odoo ERP – Manufacturing/PPC module is mandatory.
- Experience in BOM, MRP, Manufacturing Orders, Work Orders, Inventory, and Production Scheduling.
- Strong knowledge of production planning and capacity planning.
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes and shop-floor operations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and MIS reporting.
- Strong coordination and team management skills.
- Ability to work in a rapid-paced manufacturing environment.

Preferred Experience Experience in furniture manufacturing, modular furniture, office furniture, workstation, seating, or interior manufacturing will be an added advantage.
