The Production Manager will be responsible for overall production planning, execution, manpower management, production target achievement, quality, productivity, line efficiency, and operational discipline at Baoxhin India Pvt. Ltd.

The position will have a strong focus on EV/Automotive Bettery pack assembly & module operations, including assembly line management, production cycle time, manpower deployment, process adherence, quality coordination, breakdown coordination, material availability, and continuous improvement.

The Production Manager will lead the Team Leaders, Supervisors, Operators, and Production workforce and ensure that daily and monthly production targets are achieved safely, efficiently, and within the required quality standards.

The role requires a hands-on production leader who can work closely with the shop floor as well as communicate effectively with senior management.

1. Key Responsibilities :-

A. Production Planning & Target Achievement

- Prepare and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production plans in line with business requirements.
- Convert production plans into shift-wise and line-wise targets.
- Ensure achievement of daily production targets.
- Monitor production against planned targets throughout the shift.
- Take immediate corrective action in case of production shortfalls.
- Monitor production cycle time and line efficiency.
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machines, materials, and production facilities.
- Review daily production performance and report key issues to management.

Key Focus: Plan → Target → Execute → Monitor → Identify Gap → Correct → Achieve

B. EV / Automotive Production Operations

- Manage production activities related to EV/automotive assembly and manufacturing processes.
- Ensure proper execution of defined production processes and work instructions.
- Understand and monitor EV assembly processes, electrical systems, wiring, battery-related assembly activities, motors/controllers and other relevant EV components, as applicable to the company's products.
- Ensure correct sequence of operations and process discipline.
- Monitor production cycle time at each workstation.
- Identify bottlenecks and improve production flow.
- Ensure proper line balancing and workstation utilization.
- Coordinate with Engineering/Technical teams for process-related issues.

C. Assembly Line Management

- Manage day-to-day Assembly Line operations.
- Ensure availability of manpower at all workstations.
- Monitor operator productivity and line performance.
- Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and work instructions.
- Monitor hourly production and line output.
- Identify bottlenecks and take corrective action.
- Ensure proper line balancing.
- Minimize idle time, waiting time and unnecessary movement.
- Coordinate with Team Leaders to maintain production discipline.
- Ensure smooth shift handover and production continuity.





D. Repair / Rework Line Management

- Monitor repair, rework and rectification activities.
- Ensure timely closure of repair/rework quantities.
- Monitor repair backlog and aging.
- Analyze recurring repair and failure issues.
- Coordinate with Quality and Technical teams to identify root causes.
- Reduce repeat failures and rework.
- Ensure repaired units/products are properly inspected before release.
- Track repair productivity and cycle time.

E. Team Management & Leadership

- Lead and manage Team Leaders, Supervisors, Operators and production manpower.
- Set clear targets and responsibilities for Team Leaders.
- Conduct daily production meetings and shift briefings.
- Monitor Team Leader performance.
- Ensure proper manpower allocation across production lines.
- Develop discipline and accountability within the production team.
- Train and develop Team Leaders and Supervisors.
- Identify manpower skill gaps and coordinate training.
- Build a performance-oriented production culture.

F. Production Monitoring & MIS Ensure accurate monitoring and reporting of:

- Daily production target
- Actual production
- Hourly production
- Production achievement %
- Cycle time
- Line efficiency
- Manpower productivity
- Machine downtime
- Production rejection
- Rework/repair
- Material shortage
- Production loss
- Shift-wise performance

Prepare and submit daily, weekly and monthly production reports to Management. G. Quality Management

- Ensure production is carried out according to approved quality standards.
- Coordinate closely with the Quality Department.
- Reduce rejection, rework and customer-related quality issues.
- Ensure adherence to process controls and inspection requirements.
- Participate in root-cause analysis of production-related quality problems.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure operators follow approved work instructions and quality checkpoints.
- Promote a "Right First Time" production culture.

H. Maintenance & Breakdown Coordination

- Coordinate closely with Maintenance for machine/equipment breakdowns.
- Minimize production downtime.
- Ensure timely response to breakdowns.
- Monitor repeated equipment-related production losses.
- Participate in root-cause analysis for major breakdowns.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance requirements with Maintenance.
- Ensure production equipment is available and fit for operation.
- Escalate major breakdowns and prolonged downtime to management.

I. Material & Inventory Coordination

- Coordinate with Stores, Purchase and Planning teams to ensure timely material availability.
- Identify material shortages before they affect production.
- Monitor line-side material availability.
- Ensure proper material handling and storage practices within production areas.
- Minimize material wastage and production losses.
- Coordinate for urgent material requirements.
- Ensure proper traceability of production materials/components.

J. Safety & Shop-Floor Discipline

- Ensure strict compliance with all plant safety procedures.
- Promote protected working practices throughout the production area.
- Ensure appropriate PPE usage.
- Identify unsafe conditions and take corrective action.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and 5S practices.
- Maintain discipline on the production floor.
- Ensure unauthorized persons do not operate machinery/equipment.
- Report accidents, incidents and near misses immediately.

K. Productivity & Continuous Improvement

- Identify opportunities to improve productivity and reduce production costs.
- Improve line efficiency and cycle time.
- Reduce production downtime and waiting time.
- Reduce rejection and rework.
- Improve manpower utilization.




- Support Lean Manufacturing / Kaizen / 5S initiatives.
- Conduct root-cause analysis for recurring production problems.
- Implement practical process improvements.
- Monitor results of improvement initiatives.

3. Qualification & Experience Education

[ Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering ]

Candidates with additional qualifications or exposure to Production/Operations Management will be preferred.

7. Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate should be a hands-on Production Manager with 7–10 years of Automotive/EV manufacturing experience who can independently manage shop-floor production and lead a production team. The candidate should be highly focused on:
