The Gear Cutting

Role Description The Production Engineer – Machine Shop (CNC-VMC) will oversee day-to-day production activities in the machine shop, focusing on CNC and VMC operations to ensure productive, high-quality output. This full-time, on-site role based in Khandala involves planning and scheduling machining jobs, optimizing workflows, and monitoring machine performance and tool utilization. The role includes developing and implementing production processes,



troubleshooting machining issues, coordinating with design, quality, and maintenance teams, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.

The Production

Engineer will also analyze production data, recommend improvements, support new product trials, and train operators and technicians on best practices and standard operating procedures.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Production Engineering and Production Planning skills relevant to CNC and VMC machine shop operations.
- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to interpret production data, optimize processes, and resolve technical issues.
- Candidates should possess experience in Quality Control to maintain machining accuracy, process compliance, and product reliability.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and guide shop floor personnel.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Production Engineering or a related field is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with CNC/VMC programming, tooling selection, and fixture design will be beneficial.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies is an advantage.
- Ability to work safely in a machine shop environment and use relevant production and documentation software is desirable.
