Position: Production Engineer – CNC

Job Summary

We are looking for a Production Engineer – CNC responsible for managing CNC/VMC machine production activities, ensuring smooth production flow, quality, productivity, and timely completion of machines and components.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and monitor daily CNC/VMC production activities as per production schedules.
- Coordinate with Assembly, Quality, Stores, Purchase and Engineering departments.
- Ensure proper utilization of manpower, machines and materials.
- Monitor production progress and achieve daily/monthly production targets.
- Supervise CNC machining and machine assembly activities.
- Identify and resolve production-related problems and bottlenecks.
- Ensure components are produced as per engineering drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate with Quality for in-process and final inspection.
- Monitor rejection, rework, cycle time and productivity.
- Implement 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement activities.
- Maintain production records, reports and machine-wise production data.
- Ensure adherence to safety procedures and company quality standards.
- Support root-cause analysis for production and quality issues.




- Coordinate with maintenance for machine breakdowns and preventive maintenance.
- Optimize production processes to improve productivity and reduce manufacturing cost.
- Train and guide operators and technicians as required.

Technical Skills
- Good knowledge of CNC / VMC machines and machining processes.
- Understanding of CNC machining operations and tooling.
- Knowledge of cutting tools, feeds, speeds and machining parameters.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Good knowledge of GD&T;, tolerances and inspection requirements.
- Basic knowledge of CNC programming and offsets will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of production planning and shop-floor management.
- Good understanding of 5S, Kaizen, 7 QC tools and Lean Manufacturing.
- Basic knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and MS Excel.
