Long DescriptionJob Summary Supervision of shift-wise Production activities in accordance with the departmental goals / requirements.

Job Responsibilities

- Responsible for shift-wise production activities & controlled supervision especially during night shift.
- Ensure that Safety, Discipline, and punctuality is adhered to by all employees reporting to the shift.
- Receive the Weekly/Monthly production schedule & job priorities from the Plant Manager.
- Communicate the production plan to the concerned Supervisor / Leadsmen.
- Co-ordinate with all the different production line Supervisor to decide the job priorities & production targets for the shift in line with the production schedule.
- Strengthen the Production supervision & extend technical & administrative support to the peers whenever required.
- Check & re-validate the shift-wise production reports.
- Check the status of jobs physically at different work centres & report to the Plant Manager the production completion dates.
- Monitor the progress of jobs in accordance to the dates as committed.
- Prepare the weekly special paint schedule & monitor the consumption of paint.
- Record & report the extra man hours / deviations on all production lines.
- Check the daily machine break down & prepare the action plan for enhancing the production for a feasible recovery of the breakdown production loss.
- Format the scrap data collected and track / reconcile the physical & SAP consumptions.
- Drive the utilisation of drops arising out of non-standard design requirements, with the support of the respective production teams.
- Co-ordinate with PPC, stores, warehouse, shipping on SAP discrepancies.
- Follow up & expedite for drawing revisions "Production Hold" items.




- Report & seek support from the Plant Manager on all issues related to production & quality of products.
- Adhere to all safety rules and practices of the company.
- Enforce the use of PPE and secure working conditions on the shop floor.
- Prepare accident / incident reports & communicate to safety & other related departments.
- Support the Foremen & leadsmen to conduct Tool box meetings at the start of each shift in the respective areas.
- Ensure that production is at the required productivity and quality is at the company standards.
- Seek all required support from the Plant Manager to achieve the production & quality targets.
- Work in line with the departmental objectives & ensure on-time production completion.
- Continually explore methods of improving productivity and enhance the throughput of workstations under purview.

Candidate Requirements

- 3 - 5 Years working experience as a Shift in charge in a reputed PEB manufacturing / a reputed heavy fabrication industry.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Industrial Production Mechanical Engineering with 10 -12 years working experience in a PEB manufacturing / a reputed heavy fabrication industry.

Technical & Non-technical

- Conversant with Engineering drawings, good technical skills relevant to PEB / structural fabrication.
- Knowledge of computers MS Office & AutoCAD, SAP is advantageous.
- Well conversant with all engineering processes / procedures especially welding processes like FCAW, SMAW, SAW.
- Well conversant with production tools, jigs and fixtures, and measurement instruments.
- Working experience in SAP environment is advantageous.
- Operating knowledge of all latest computer packages, AutoCAD.
- Working exposure with ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001 are preferable.
- Good command of languages: Hindi, English, Arabic is preferable.
