ABOUT THE ROLE

Ecovanta Solutions is a DPIIT-recognised manufacturer of high-performance concrete admixtures — PCE and SNF superplasticizers, retarders, non-chloride accelerators, integral waterproofing compounds and mould release agents — supplying RMC plants, precast units, NHAI contractors and builders across Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh Tricity and Himachal Pradesh.

We are hiring a hands-on chemist who owns product quality end to end: testing every raw material before it enters the plant, supervising the batch on the floor, releasing the finished admixture only after full lab verification, and going to the customer's site to resolve any performance issue in the field. This is a single-owner quality role, not a supervised bench job.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

▪ Raw Material Testing & Approval — Test every inbound consignment before acceptance: solid content, pH, specific gravity, moisture, chloride content and appearance. Verify supplier COAs, maintain retained samples, and reject or quarantine off-spec material with written justification.

▪ Production Supervision — Supervise wet-blending batches (1,000–5,000 kg) on the floor — charging sequence, dosing accuracy, mixing time, temperature and pH control. Ensure the approved BOM and SOP are followed exactly, with no field substitutions.

▪ Finished Product Lab Testing — Run full QC on every batch against IS 9103:1999 and IS 2645:2003 — solid content, pH, SG, chloride content, relative water reduction,



slump retention, setting time (Vicat), bleeding and air content. Conduct Marsh cone and mini-slump trials for cement compatibility, and coordinate 7/28-day cube compressive strength testing (IS 516 / IS 4031) with the in-house or NABL lab.

▪ Site Technical Service — Attend customer sites to investigate and resolve field issues: slump loss, false or flash set, over-retardation, dosage variability across cement sources, segregation and bleeding. Optimise dosage on site, run comparative trials, and submit a written root-cause and corrective-action report for every complaint.

▪ Documentation & Compliance — Maintain raw material inward registers, batch manufacturing records, QC test reports and Manufacturer Test Certificates (MTCs). Support BIS licence documentation, HSPCB compliance records and customer technical audits.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

▪ B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Chemistry, or Diploma / B.Tech in Chemical Engineering. Civil Engineering with concrete-lab experience will also be considered.

▪ 2–5 years in a construction chemicals, admixture, paints or wet-emulsion manufacturing unit. Candidates from the Baddi, Derabassi, Mohali or Ambala industrial belt are strongly preferred.

▪ Working knowledge of PCE and SNF chemistry, concrete testing methods, and the relevant IS standards. Comfortable operating a lab and a factory floor on the same day.

▪ Willing to travel to customer sites across the region at short notice. Two-wheeler and valid licence required.
