About the RoleWe are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Product Packaging Designer who can transform product concepts and brand requirements into attractive, functional, and production-ready packaging designs.

The ideal candidate should understand branding, visual communication, packaging structures, printing processes, and consumer psychology and be able to work closely with clients, marketing teams, printers, and production teams.

Key Responsibilities1.

Packaging

Design

- Design packaging for FMCG, food, consumer, retail, and other products.
- Create packaging concepts aligned with brand identity and target customers.
- Develop labels, cartons, pouches, boxes, bottles, wrappers, sleeves, and other packaging formats.
- Create multiple design concepts and variations when required.
- Maintain consistency across different SKUs and product ranges.

2. Artwork & Production
- Prepare print-ready artwork and production files.
- Work with dielines, dimensions, bleeds, margins, and print specifications.
- Ensure correct CMYK/RGB usage, typography, images, barcodes, logos, and mandatory information.
- Coordinate with printers and vendors to resolve artwork and production issues.
- Review proofs and make corrections before final production.

3. Branding & Visual Design
- Apply brand guidelines consistently across packaging.
- Develop packaging layouts that communicate product benefits clearly.
- Select appropriate typography, imagery, illustrations, icons, and visual elements.
- Create designs that stand out on retail shelves and digital marketplaces.




- Understand competitor packaging and current market trends.

4. Collaboration
- Work with marketing, product, sales, content, and production teams.
- Understand product briefs and convert them into creative concepts.
- Incorporate client/stakeholder feedback professionally.
- Coordinate with photographers, illustrators, printers, and packaging vendors.

Design Quality

Control
- Check artwork carefully before final submission.
- Verify spelling, dimensions, colors, regulatory information, barcode placement, and product details.
- Maintain organized source files and version control.
- Ensure final artwork meets printer and manufacturing requirements.

Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Knowledge of Adobe InDesign is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of packaging design and print production.
- Knowledge of CMYK, Pantone, bleeds, dielines, trapping, and printing techniques.
- Good understanding of typography, layout, color theory, and visual hierarchy.
- Ability to create mockups and realistic packaging presentations.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving ability.

Preferred Skills
- Experience with FMCG or food packaging.
- Knowledge of flexible packaging, corrugated boxes, cartons, labels, and rigid packaging.
- Basic knowledge of packaging materials and printing processes.




- Experience working with printers and packaging manufacturers.
- Knowledge of 3D packaging/mockup tools is a plus.
- Understanding of branding and consumer behavior is an advantage.

Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's / Diploma in Graphic Design, Communication Design, Packaging Design, Fine Arts, or a related field.

Relevant experience and a solid portfolio will be given higher importance than formal qualifications. Experience2–5 years of relevant experience in:

- Print & Production Artwork

Freshers with an exceptional packaging-design portfolio may also be considered for a junior position. Portfolio RequirementCandidates must provide a portfolio demonstrating:

- Before/after design concepts
- Multiple SKU/product-range designs, if available
