Job Summary

We are looking for a Procurement Executive with experience in manufacturing procurement, preferably in the refractory, steel, cement, foundry, or related industries. The role will be responsible for sourcing raw materials, consumables, packaging materials, spare parts, and services while ensuring the required quality, cost, and delivery timelines.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers for raw materials and manufacturing requirements.
- Procure refractory raw materials such as high-alumina materials, bauxite, High Alumina Cement,calcined alumina, magnesite, graphite, silica, binders, additives, Silliminate, DBM/FM and other relevant materials.
- Handle procurement of consumables, packaging materials, engineering spares and maintenance items.
- Obtain and compare quotations from suppliers and negotiate price, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial conditions.
- Prepare and process Purchase Orders in accordance with approved requirements.
- Monitor supplier deliveries and ensure timely availability of materials to avoid production interruptions.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Stores, Maintenance, Finance departments regarding procurement requirements.
- Maintain approved vendor lists and assist in identifying and developing alternate sources.
- Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, price, delivery, responsiveness, and service.
- Follow up on pending purchase orders, shortages, rejected materials, replacements, and claims.
- Maintain procurement records, quotations, comparative statements, purchase orders, and supplier documentation.




- Support inventory planning and help maintain optimum stock levels.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, quality requirements, and applicable specifications.
- Monitor market prices and supplier trends for key refractory raw materials.
- Assist in cost-reduction and vendor-development initiatives.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Commerce, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of procurement/purchase experience in a manufacturing workplace.
- Experience in refractory manufacturing or related industries will be preferred.
- Good understanding of vendor management, quotation comparison, negotiation, and purchase-order processes.
- Working knowledge of MS Excel and ERP/procurement software.
- Good communication, negotiation, analytical, and follow-up skills.

- Refractory raw materials and their basic applications.
- Manufacturing procurement and inventory management.
- Supplier qualification and evaluation.
- Basic understanding of material specifications and quality documentation.
- Commercial terms, payment terms, freight, taxes, and landed-cost calculations.
