Role Overview

We are looking for a sincere and technically inclined Junior Field Technician to join our Mumbai Field Operations team.

The role involves supporting elevator installation, preventive maintenance, breakdown servicing and technical site activities. The selected candidate will initially work under the guidance of experienced technicians and engineers, with the chance to gradually handle assigned jobs independently.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in the installation, testing and commissioning of elevators and related equipment.
- Support preventive and routine maintenance activities according to the assigned schedule.
- Attend breakdown calls and assist in identifying mechanical, electrical and control-related faults.
- Check elevator components, including doors, motors, brakes, ropes, switches, sensors, safety circuits and control panels.
- Carry out basic repairs, adjustments, lubrication, cleaning and component replacement under appropriate supervision.




- Support site-readiness inspections, material verification and installation-progress checks.
- Ensure that tools, equipment and materials are handled and maintained responsibly.
- Follow prescribed safety procedures and use PPE correctly while working in shafts, pits, machine rooms and restricted areas.
- Coordinate with Senior Technicians, Service Engineers, Project Managers and site representatives.
- Maintain professional conduct while interacting with customers and building-management teams.
- Update assigned jobs, progress, site photographs, equipment downtime and closure details through the company’s task-management system.
- Maintain accurate attendance and field-work records.
- Escalate technical, safety or site-related concerns promptly to the reporting manager.
- Remain available for genuine breakdown or site requirements beyond regular working hours when necessary.

Qualification

- ITI in Electrician, Fitter, Electronics, Wireman or a related technical trade; or
- Diploma in Electrical, Electronics or Mechanical Engineering.

Experience and Technical Exposure

- Up to three years of relevant experience in elevator installation, maintenance, service or troubleshooting.




- Fresh ITI or Diploma candidates with suitable practical exposure and a strong willingness to learn may also be considered.
- Basic understanding of electrical wiring, mechanical assemblies and the safe use of technical tools.
- Familiarity with elevator doors, motors, controllers, safety circuits or maintenance procedures will be an advantage.

- Willing to travel extensively across Mumbai and the wider MMR region.
- Physically fit and comfortable working at elevator sites.
- Safety-conscious, disciplined and responsible.
- Able to follow technical instructions and site processes carefully.
- Willing to learn under experienced technicians and participate in technical training.
- Comfortable maintaining mobile-based job updates and site records.
- Able to communicate respectfully with customers, colleagues and site teams.
- Available to join immediately or within a short notice period.
