We are looking for an experienced Architect cum Lighting Designer who combines solid architectural design capability with lighting design sensibility. We welcome candidates who already have technical lighting knowledge, as well as talented architects who are willing to learn lighting design or want to build a career as a Lighting Designer — training and mentorship will be provided to the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Technical

- Develop architectural and lighting design concepts for residential, commercial, retail, hospitality, or institutional projects
- Prepare detailed layout drawings, lighting plans, fixture schedules, and technical specifications
- Create 3D visualizations, renders, and walkthroughs to present design intent to clients
- Select appropriate lighting fixtures, luminaires, and control systems based on project requirements, ambiance, and energy efficiency
- Coordinate lighting design with architectural, interior, and MEP layouts
- Conduct lux level calculations and technical lighting analysis where required (training provided if not already skilled)
- Stay updated on lighting trends, smart lighting/automation systems, and energy-efficient solutions

Client Dealing

- Interface directly with clients to understand requirements, present design concepts, and incorporate feedback
- Conduct client meetings, site visits, and design presentations
- Build and maintain strong client relationships for repeat business and referrals

Project Management & Execution

- Manage projects from concept to completion, ensuring timelines and budgets are adhered to
- Coordinate with contractors, electricians,



vendors, and site execution teams
- Conduct site visits for quality checks, installation supervision, and troubleshooting
- Liaise with fixture suppliers and manufacturers for procurement and technical support
- Prepare BOQs, cost estimates, and project documentation
- Ensure design intent is accurately executed on-site

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's/Master's degree in Architecture (B.Arch/M.Arch); additional certification in Lighting Design preferred (not mandatory)
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as an Architect
- Lighting Expertise: Any of the following is acceptable —
- Candidates with hands-on technical lighting design experience, OR
- Architects with strong design sensibility and a genuine interest in learning lighting design, OR
- Candidates looking to transition into or build a long-term career as a Lighting Designer
- (Structured training/mentorship in lighting design will be provided where needed)
- Software Proficiency:
- AutoCAD (mandatory)
- SketchUp (mandatory)
- 3ds Max (mandatory)
- Adobe Photoshop (mandatory)
- Knowledge of lighting design/calculation software (e.g., DIALux, Relux) is an added advantage, not mandatory
- Technical Knowledge (preferred, not mandatory for entry):
- Understanding of lighting fundamentals — lux levels, color temperature, CRI, beam angles, fixture types
- Familiarity with architectural lighting layouts, electrical coordination, and lighting control systems (DALI, smart automation, etc.)

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
