Job Summary The Physician Assistant will assist consultants and physicians in providing safe, efficient, and patient-centered clinical care. The role involves patient assessment, clinical documentation, assisting in procedures, monitoring patients, coordinating investigations, and supporting the medical team in day-to-day clinical activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist consultants/physicians in patient assessment, examination, diagnosis, and treatment planning.

- Obtain and document patient history, vital signs, symptoms, and relevant clinical information.

- Monitor patients and promptly report any changes in clinical condition to the concerned physician.

- Assist in minor procedures, clinical examinations, and other interventions as directed by the physician.

- Review and follow up on laboratory and diagnostic investigation reports under physician supervision.

- Maintain accurate and timely patient medical records and clinical documentation.

- Assist in preparing treatment plans and ensuring appropriate follow-up as instructed by the consultant.

- Coordinate with nursing, laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, and other departments for patient care.

- Educate patients and attendants regarding medications, investigations, procedures, follow-up, and general care as instructed by the physician.

- Assist in emergency situations and provide immediate clinical support within the scope of practice.

- Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, infection prevention practices, patient safety standards, and NABH requirements.

- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and medical records.

- Participate in clinical meetings,



training programs, audits, and quality improvement activities.

- Ensure proper handover of patient-related information to the concerned healthcare team.

- Perform other clinical duties assigned by the consultant or management within the permitted scope of practice.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant / Physician Associate or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.

- Valid registration/licensure, wherever applicable, as per prevailing regulations.

- Additional clinical certifications will be an advantage.

Experience

- Minimum 2–5 years of relevant clinical experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.

- Experience working with consultants, inpatient/outpatient services, emergency care, or specialty departments will be preferred.
