Role Summary

Design, develop, and maintain websites, e-commerce platforms, and web portals using PHP and MySQL, with strong awareness of current tools and scripting practices in web development.

Key Responsibilities

Build responsive, SEO-friendly websites from design/wireframes.





Develop and maintain online stores including product catalog, cart, checkout, and inventory sync.

Build multi-user portals with role-based access such as admin, vendor, and customer dashboards.

Integrate payment gateways like Razorpay, PayU, CCAvenue, Stripe, and PayPal securely.

Build and consume REST/SOAP APIs for third-party integrations.

Design database schemas, write optimized queries, and manage MySQL/MariaDB databases.

Debug, patch, and update existing codebases; monitor site performance and uptime.

Implement secure coding practices to prevent SQL injection, XSS, and CSRF.

Manage version control, deployment pipelines, and server configurations.

Required Technical Skills

Core Language: PHP 8.x with object-oriented programming and latest language features.

Database: MySQL/MariaDB, including query optimization and indexing.

Frameworks: Laravel (preferred), CodeIgniter, or Symfony.

CMS/E-commerce Platforms: WordPress, WooCommerce, Magento, OpenCart, or PrestaShop.

Frontend: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), jQuery.

Frontend Frameworks: Vue.js or React at a basic to intermediate level, mainly for portal dashboards.

Payment Gateways: Razorpay, PayU, CCAvenue, Stripe, and PayPal SDK integration.

APIs:



REST API design and consumption, JSON, XML, and webhooks.

Version Control: Git, using GitHub or GitLab.

Server/Hosting: Apache/Nginx, cPanel, and basic Linux server administration.

Security: SSL, OWASP practices, and data encryption.

Tools: Composer, Postman, phpMyAdmin, and Docker as a plus.

Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills

Laravel and Vue combination for faster, up-to-date full-stack development.

Headless CMS experience for flexible content delivery.

GraphQL for efficient API queries.

Experience integrating AI or chatbot APIs, increasingly common in e-commerce and portal projects.

Basic knowledge of Progressive Web Apps (PWA) to improve mobile e-commerce experience.

Familiarity with basic cloud hosting such as AWS or GCP Lightsail.

Automated testing experience with PHPUnit for higher code reliability.

Soft Skills

Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Strong problem-solving skills, including debugging live production issues under time pressure.

Client interaction skills for gathering requirements directly, especially in freelance or agency settings.

Ability to write clear technical and API documentation.

Qualification

Education: B.E./B.Tech/BCA/MCA in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Certifications: Any PHP, Laravel, or AWS certification is a plus, though not mandatory.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
