Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled, compassionate, and detail-oriented Phlebotomist to perform blood collection and related patient-care activities. The candidate should ensure proper patient identification, protected sample collection, accurate labelling, handling, and transportation of specimens while maintaining hygiene, safety, and patient confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify patients correctly and verify test requirements before sample collection.
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection using appropriate techniques.
- Collect blood and other clinical specimens as required.
- Properly label, verify, and document all collected samples.
- Follow standard procedures for sample collection, handling, storage, and transportation.
- Ensure proper patient preparation before sample collection, when required.
- Maintain strict hygiene, infection-control, and safety procedures.
- Handle patients professionally, especially children, elderly patients, and anxious patients.
- Minimize patient discomfort during blood collection.
- Monitor patients for any immediate reaction such as dizziness or fainting and provide appropriate first aid as per protocol.
- Maintain sample collection records and necessary documentation.
- Ensure collected samples reach the laboratory within the required time.
- Check sample quality and report unsuitable or rejected samples to the concerned team.




- Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of the sample collection area.
- Ensure availability of needles, tubes, gloves, swabs, and other collection materials.
- Follow biomedical waste disposal procedures.
- Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Coordinate with laboratory, reception, nursing, and other departments.
- Assist with home sample collection and corporate medical camps when required.
- Perform other duties assigned by the laboratory management.

Requirements

- DMLT / B.Sc. MLT / Phlebotomy Certification or relevant qualification.
- 0–3 years of experience in phlebotomy, diagnostic centers, hospitals, or laboratories.
- Fresher’s with relevant certification and good practical skills may also apply.
- Valuable knowledge of venipuncture and specimen collection procedures.
- Good communication and patient-handling skills.
- Knowledge of infection control and biomedical waste management.
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy diagnostic environment.
- Willingness to travel for home sample collection or medical camps, if required.

Job Type: Full-time Pay: ₹8,000.00 - ₹10,000.00 per month
