Role Description The PGT English role is a full-time, on-site position based in Arrah. The educator will plan and deliver engaging English lessons for senior classes, aligned with the school’s curriculum and Bloom’s Taxonomy-based teaching methodology. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, assessing student performance, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining accurate academic records.

The role also involves guiding students in spoken and written English, organizing language-related activities, and supporting overall personality development.



The PGT English will collaborate with colleagues, participate in staff meetings and training sessions, and contribute to maintaining a positive, disciplined, and inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

- Strong English Teaching skills, including lesson planning, classroom management, and evaluation of senior secondary students.
- Excellent Communication skills for clear instruction, student engagement, and collaboration with guardians and colleagues.
- Ability to handle Translation tasks and support learners in understanding and using English across subjects.
- Customer Service orientation to address student and parent queries with patience, professionalism, and empathy.
- Training skills to mentor students, support co-curricular activities, and participate in faculty development programs.
- Master’s degree in English or a related discipline; B.Ed. or equivalent skilled teaching qualification preferred.
- Prior experience teaching English at senior secondary level, ideally in an English-medium, co-ed school environment.
- Comfort with smart classroom tools and educational technology; ability to integrate digital resources into lessons.
- Commitment to inclusive, gender-neutral, and non-discriminatory teaching practices, and to the holistic development of learners.
