You will work directly alongside our founder to design fragrances from first principles—treating scent not just as an aesthetic layer, but as molecular physics and emotional storytelling.

Role Overview

Title: Junior Perfumer / Olfactory Engineering Intern (Founding Team)

Location: Bangalore (In-Office / Lab-based)

Equity & Compensation: Competitive Stipend + Early-Stage Founding Equity Pool (ESOPs)

Growth Path: Prospect to transition into Head of Olfactory R&D; as we scale.

What You’ll Be Doing

Formulation & Testing: Blending essential oils, aromachem synthetic fixatives, and hydrophobic bases to optimize thermal stability and controlled linear diffusion.

Spatial & Evaporative Physics: Conducting real-world stress testing (temperature, humidity, kinetic movement) to map evaporation curves and ambient sillage radius.

Raw Material Sourcing: Partnering with ethically sourced oil suppliers, chemical labs, and manufacturers across India and globally.

Storytelling to Chemistry: Translating abstract poetic concepts, memories, and emotions into precise chemical ratios and olfactory pyramids.

QC & Scale-Up: Supervising batch consistency, regulatory compliance (IFRA standards),



and transition from benchtop lab trials to full factory production.

What We’re Looking For

Background: Degree/curiosity in Chemical Engineering, Organic Chemistry, Cosmetic Technology, or formal training in Perfumery/Olfactory Science.

Nose + Analytical Mind: Ability to discern subtle note transitions paired with a rigorous, hypothesis-driven testing mindset.

Hands-on Craftsmanship: Familiarity with laboratory safety, precision weighing scales, dilution ratios, and raw material compounding.

Founding Energy: Comfort with ambiguity, high ownership, and a desire to build a premium D2C brand from the ground up.
