Performance Test Engineer

Argus Consulting is looking for an experienced Performance Test Engineer to design, execute and analyze performance tests for enterprise applications and APIs.

The candidate will work closely with development, QA, DevOps and architecture teams to identify performance bottlenecks and ensure applications meet scalability, reliability and response-time expectations.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and execute load, stress, endurance, spike and scalability tests .
- Develop and maintain performance test scripts and test scenarios.
- Analyze application performance, response times, throughput, concurrency and resource utilization.
- Identify bottlenecks across application, database, API, network and infrastructure layers .
- Conduct performance testing of web applications, REST APIs and microservices .
- Generate performance test reports with findings, bottlenecks and recommendations.
- Work with developers and architects to troubleshoot and resolve performance issues.
- Establish performance baselines and benchmark application releases.
- Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines where applicable.




- Monitor applications during testing using appropriate APM, server and database monitoring tools .
- Support capacity planning and performance optimization activities.

Required Skills
- Strong experience with JMeter and/or LoadRunner .
- Good understanding of HTTP/HTTPS, REST APIs, JSON and web application architecture .
- Experience with SQL and database performance analysis.
- Understanding of concurrency, throughput, response time, TPS/RPS and scalability .
- Experience analyzing CPU, memory, disk, network and database bottlenecks.
- Knowledge of Linux/Windows performance monitoring.
- Experience with performance testing of microservices/API-based applications .
- Valuable understanding of SDLC, STLC and defect management.
- Exposure to Jenkins/Azure DevOps/Git and CI/CD is preferred.
- Experience with cloud environments such as Azure/AWS is an advantage.
