Role Description The Pediatric Resident is a full-time, in office role based at Sohana Hospital in the Mohali district. The individual will provide inpatient and outpatient care for infants, children, and adolescents under the supervision of senior pediatricians and neonatologists. Daily responsibilities include conducting patient assessments, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, developing and implementing treatment plans, and documenting clinical care in accordance with hospital protocols.

The Pediatric

Resident will participate in neonatal and pediatric emergency care,



assist in relevant pediatric and neonatal procedures, and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams and consulting physicians. The role also involves participation in clinical rounds, case discussions, academic teaching sessions, and adherence to evidence-based guidelines and quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Pediatrics and Neonatology, with the ability to manage common pediatric and neonatal conditions.
- Clinical proficiency in Medicine, including patient assessment, diagnosis, and formulation of holistic treatment plans.
- Ability to collaborate effectively when Working with Physicians and other healthcare professionals in a multidisciplinary setting.
- Basic exposure to Surgery in pediatric settings, including assisting in procedures and perioperative patient management.
- Recognized medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and completed or ongoing pediatric residency training, as per applicable regulatory requirements.
- Valid medical registration with the appropriate medical council and compliance with local licensing standards.
- Strong communication skills, empathy, and a patient-centered approach, with commitment to ethical and non-discriminatory care.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced hospital environment, participate in shifts and on-call duties, and engage in continuous learning and clinical research activities.
