We are looking for a Part-Time Music Teacher / Music Instructor to join our music program for children at Openhouse Jayanagar, Bangalore.

The role involves teaching children primarily in the 5–10 age group and is ideal for a musician or music educator looking for a stable part-time evening opportunity.

Schedule

- Days: Monday–Friday
- Timing: 4:00 PM–7:00 PM
- Hours: 15 hours/week
- Compensation: ₹18,000–₹20,000 per month
- Location: Jayanagar 8th Block, Bangalore

Our program covers:
- Keyboard
- Drums
- Ukulele
- Singing

You do not need to be proficient in all three instruments. We are primarily looking for someone who is well-versed in at least one of these instruments and has a good foundation in music. If you are confident with one or two instruments but aren't familiar with the others, that's completely fine. Training and guidance will be provided to help you learn the remaining instruments and become comfortable with the curriculum.

You will also receive guidance on our teaching methodology and how we conduct classes.

What we're looking for

Essential:

- Strong proficiency in at least one of the following: keyboard, drums or ukulele
- Good basic understanding of music
- Comfortable working with beginner-level students
- Patient, friendly and engaging with children
- Reliable and able to commit to the Monday–Friday schedule
- Able to commute reasonably easily to Jayanagar 8th Block, Bangalore

Preferred but not essential:





- Previous experience teaching children
- Experience teaching music or performing professionally
- Familiarity with more than one of the instruments
- Music education/training or relevant qualifications

We're open to music teachers, performing musicians, music graduates/students, producers, or other musicians who are interested in a regular part-time teaching role.

About the role

You will work closely with the person currently managing the music program. The selected candidate will be trained and supported in the beginning and will gradually take responsibility for the weekday batches.

There will also be an opportunity for mutual leave coverage, where the two teachers can step in for each other when required.

Because this is a part-time evening role, proximity to the centre is significant. Candidates who live or work reasonably close to Jayanagar 8th Block will be preferred.
