Position Overview

The Ops Staff is responsible for supporting day-to-day operational activities within Blue Darts Service Centres, Hubs, Processing Units (PUDs) and Warehouses by ensuring productive shipment handling, processing and movement across the network. The role performs a wide range of operational activities including shipment receiving, sorting, scanning, bagging, tagging, loading, unloading, shipment reconciliation and data entry while ensuring adherence to operational procedures, safety standards and service commitments. As a frontline operations employee, the incumbent plays a critical role in maintaining shipment accuracy, operational productivity and service quality while representing the Blue Dart brand through skilled conduct, discipline and operational excellence.

Job Purpose

To support efficient shipment processing and operational activities by ensuring accurate handling, sorting, scanning and movement of shipments while maintaining high standards of productivity, safety, quality and compliance with Blue Darts Standard Operating Procedures.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

- Shipment Processing Operations. Receive, segregate, sort and process inbound and outbound shipments accurately.

- Shipment Processing Operations. Perform shipment scanning, bagging, tagging and labelling activities in accordance with operational requirements.

- Shipment Processing Operations. Support loading and unloading of shipments from vehicles while ensuring safe handling practices.

- Shipment Processing Operations. Ensure timely movement of shipments through various operational stages to meet defined service commitments.

- Shipment Processing Operations. Assist in shipment reconciliation and manifest verification activities.

- Data Entry Operational Documentation. Perform basic data entry and shipment updates using approved operational systems.

Qualifications

Experience and Education

- Minimum 10th Standard Pass. Higher educational qualifications will be an added advantage.

- Fresher or up to 2 years of experience in logistics, warehousing, courier, manufacturing, retail operations or similar operational environments. Freshers with the aptitude and willingness to work in operational roles are encouraged to apply.

Eligibility Requirements

- Minimum age 18 years.

- Physically fit to perform operational activities involving standing, walking, lifting and movement of shipments throughout the shift.

- Willingness to work across rotational shifts, weekends and public holidays based on business requirements.

- Basic understanding of English for reading operational instructions, shipment labels and safety guidelines.

- Basic computer and handheld scanner/mobile application usage.

- Positive attitude, willingness to learn and ability to work in a team environment.
