Role Description The Operations Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai, responsible for overseeing day-to-day logistics and operational activities. This position manages scheduling and routing of shipments, monitors delivery performance, and ensures adherence to safety and quality standards.

Manager coordinates with warehouse staff, drivers, customer service, and external partners to maintain smooth workflows and resolve operational issues promptly. The role includes tracking key performance metrics, optimizing processes for cost and efficiency, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

- Robust operations management skills, including workflow planning, resource allocation, and process optimization.
- Experience in logistics or supply chain management, preferably in road transport, e-commerce delivery, or related fields.
- Proficiency in using operations and tracking tools or software (e.g., TMS, WMS, spreadsheets, dashboards).
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, coordinate cross-functional stakeholders, and manage performance.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and act on operational insights.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on clear, transparent, and timely information sharing.
- Strong customer focus and service mindset, with experience handling escalations and improving customer experience.
- Knowledge of safety, compliance, and quality standards in logistics and transport operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, supply chain, or a related field; equivalent practical experience is also valued.
- Ability to work on-site in Chennai, adapt to fast-paced environments, and remain organized under pressure.
