Role Description The Obstetrics and Gynecology professional at MediVaah will provide comprehensive women’s health services, including antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care, as well as gynecological consultation and procedures. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing patients, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, managing pregnancies, performing deliveries, and providing preventive and reproductive health counseling. The role involves close coordination with other healthcare professionals, maintaining accurate medical records, and adhering to clinical guidelines and safety protocols.

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Kasaragod, requiring active participation in outpatient clinics, inpatient care, emergency services, and follow-up consultations.



The skilled will also contribute to patient education and support the overall mission of MediVaah to improve access to quality healthcare.

Qualifications

- Recognized medical degree (MBBS) and specialization in Obstetrics and Gynecology (MD/DNB/DGO or equivalent), with valid registration from the appropriate medical council.
- Clinical expertise in antenatal care, labor management, cesarean sections, gynecological surgeries, and management of common and high-risk obstetric and gynecologic conditions.
- Strong diagnostic and decision-making skills, including the ability to interpret lab results, imaging, and other investigations relevant to women’s health.
- Effective communication and counseling skills for diverse patient populations, with the ability to provide clear, empathetic explanations and informed consent discussions.
- Experience working in hospital or clinic settings, with familiarity in electronic medical records, clinical documentation, and evidence-based practice guidelines.
- Commitment to ethical, non-discriminatory patient care, teamwork with multidisciplinary staff, and continuous professional development.
- Ability to manage on-site responsibilities in Kasaragod, including flexible hours, participation in on-call duties, and responsiveness to emergency cases.
- Proficiency in local languages (preferred) and English, along with good organizational and time-management skills to handle varied clinical workloads.
