About the Role

Proxsoft Developers is looking for a smart, capable and technically strong Fabric Engineer with 4+ years of experience in data engineering to join our growing team.

We are looking for someone who is not just technically proficient, but also analytical, proactive and capable of independently solving complex data problems. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working across the modern data engineering ecosystem and have hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, SQL and data pipelines.

You will work on building scalable data solutions, developing reliable data pipelines and transforming raw data into structured, usable data that supports business intelligence and analytics.

Role Overview

As a Fabric Engineer – Data Engineering, you will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining data engineering solutions using Microsoft Fabric and related Microsoft technologies. You will work closely with BI developers, analysts and other stakeholders to understand data requirements, build robust data pipelines and ensure that data is accurate, accessible and optimized for downstream reporting and analytics.

We're looking for someone who takes ownership, thinks beyond the immediate task and proactively identifies better ways to build and improve data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop scalable data engineering solutions using Microsoft Fabric.
- Build, maintain and optimize data pipelines and data integration workflows.
- Work with Fabric Data Factory / Pipelines for data ingestion and transformation.
- Develop and manage Lakehouse and Data Warehouse solutions within Microsoft Fabric.
- Work with structured and semi-structured data from multiple sources.
- Write efficient and optimized SQL queries for data extraction, transformation and analysis.
- Develop data transformations using appropriate Fabric and Microsoft data engineering tools.
- Implement reliable ETL/ELT processes and ensure data quality and consistency.




- Design efficient data models to support BI, reporting and analytics requirements.
- Monitor, troubleshoot and optimize pipelines, data processes and workloads.
- Work closely with Power BI developers and business stakeholders to understand downstream data requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve performance, scalability, reliability and maintainability of existing data solutions.
- Follow best practices around data security, governance, documentation and development.
- Take ownership of assigned projects and proactively contribute to technical solutions and improvements.

Required Skills & Experience

- 4+ years of skilled experience in Data Engineering / BI / Analytics Engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Experience building and managing data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
- Hands-on experience with Fabric Lakehouse and/or Data Warehouse.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric Data Factory / Pipelines.
- Strong understanding of data engineering and data warehousing concepts.
- Experience working with multiple data sources and integrating data into centralized platforms.
- Good understanding of data modelling, data transformation and data quality.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues independently.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to take ownership and work proactively with minimal supervision.

Good to Have

- Experience with Azure Data Factory.
- Experience with Azure SQL / SQL Server.
- Knowledge of OneLake and Microsoft Fabric architecture.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric Notebooks / Spark.
- Knowledge of PySpark or Python for data engineering.
- Experience working with Power BI and understanding BI requirements.




- Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps practices for data engineering.
- Understanding of data governance, security and access management.
- Microsoft Fabric or relevant Azure certifications.
