We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Microbiologist to join our quality control team at a packaged drinking water/mineral water company. The candidate will be responsible for microbiological testing of raw water, treated water, finished products, and production environments to ensure that all products meet required quality, hygiene, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct microbiological analysis of raw water, treated water, and finished drinking water.
- Perform routine testing for microbiological parameters as per approved laboratory procedures and applicable standards.
- Collect and handle water samples from different stages of the production process.
- Maintain proper sampling, testing, and laboratory records.
- Monitor microbiological quality throughout the water treatment and production process.
- Conduct environmental monitoring and hygiene checks in production and processing areas.
- Maintain laboratory cleanliness, hygiene, and good laboratory practices (GLP).
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of microbiological samples and laboratory materials.
- Prepare culture media, reagents, and other materials required for microbiological testing.
- Identify and report microbial contamination or deviations and assist in investigating the root cause.
- Coordinate with the Production and Quality teams to maintain consistent product quality.
- Ensure timely calibration, maintenance, and proper use of laboratory equipment.
- Maintain accurate documentation, test reports, logbooks, and quality records.




- Support internal and external quality audits and regulatory inspections.
- Ensure compliance with applicable food safety, water quality, hygiene, and regulatory requirements.
- Follow all company SOPs, laboratory safety procedures, and quality control protocols.

Required Skills & Qualities
- Strong knowledge of microbiology and microbiological testing techniques.
- Good understanding of water microbiology and quality parameters.
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques and laboratory practices.
- Good observation and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in laboratory testing and documentation.
- Ability to identify and communicate quality deviations effectively.
- Positive record-keeping and reporting skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work in a production/laboratory environment.
- Commitment to hygiene, quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Educational Qualification

- B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Microbiology from a recognized institution.
- Freshers with relevant academic knowledge and laboratory skills are encouraged to apply.
- Candidates with relevant experience in water testing, food microbiology, beverage industry, pharmaceutical microbiology, or quality control laboratories will be an added advantage.
