ABOUT THE ROLE

F5 Global Talent is hiring an experienced MEP Design Engineer to design HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for U.S. residential and commercial projects.

You’ll own the engineering work from design through construction documentation — including heating and cooling load calculations, hydraulic calculations, equipment selection, system layouts, schedules, risers, and complete drawing sets in AutoCAD and Revit.

This is an engineering role, not a drafting-only position. You must be able to develop the design yourself and then produce the construction documents that support it.

This is a full-time, remote role for candidates based in India, working U.S. business hours.

IMPORTANT: Direct experience designing MEP systems for U.S. projects is required. AutoCAD, Revit, and HAP or equivalent HVAC load-calculation software are also required. Candidates whose experience is primarily drafting from someone else’s markups are not the right fit.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

- Design HVAC systems for U.S. residential and commercial buildings
- Design plumbing systems including domestic water, sanitary, and storm systems
- Design sprinkler and fire protection systems
- Perform heating and cooling load calculations using HAP or equivalent software
- Perform hydraulic calculations for fire protection systems
- Select and schedule equipment based on your engineering calculations
- Produce complete MEP drawings, layouts, schedules, and riser diagrams in AutoCAD and Revit
- Design according to U.S. building codes and MEP standards
- Coordinate MEP designs with architectural and structural teams and resolve clashes




- Participate in design-review calls and clearly explain your engineering decisions
- Manage multiple projects and deliver accurate work on schedule

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

- Hands-on HVAC system design experience
- Hands-on plumbing system design experience
- Hands-on sprinkler / fire protection system design experience
- Direct experience working on U.S. projects — required
- Strong AutoCAD experience — required
- Strong Revit experience — required
- Experience with HAP or similar HVAC load-calculation software — required
- Experience performing heating and cooling load calculations
- Experience performing hydraulic calculations
- Experience selecting and scheduling MEP equipment
- Experience producing full MEP construction-document sets
- Working knowledge of U.S. building codes and MEP standards
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, MEP Engineering, or a related discipline
- Solid written and spoken English
- Ability to take ownership of engineering decisions from design through documentation

NICE TO HAVE

- Experience coordinating MEP designs with architectural and structural teams
- Strong clash-resolution and interdisciplinary coordination experience
- Ability to explain and defend engineering decisions during technical reviews
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
