Role Description: The Medical Record Summarizer is responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and summarizing medical records for use in legal, insurance, and medical-legal research contexts. Day-to-day tasks include organizing medical documentation, identifying key clinical events, creating clear and concise case timelines, and extracting relevant medical and diagnostic information. The role involves collaborating with internal teams to clarify medical details, ensuring consistency and accuracy across summaries, and adhering to established quality and compliance standards.

Summarizer will also prepare reports that support personal injury, medical malpractice, mass tort, and insurance cases. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Tambaram, Chennai.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and a solid understanding of medicine to accurately interpret clinical records.
- Proficiency in health information management and medical records handling, including organizing, indexing, and summarizing complex files.
- Customer service skills to interact professionally with internal stakeholders and external clients when needed.
- Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to distill large volumes of information into explicit, structured summaries.
- Comfort working with electronic health records (EHR) systems and basic office productivity tools.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and follow data protection and compliance guidelines.
- Effective written communication skills and good command of English for drafting precise reports.
- Relevant education in nursing, allied health, life sciences, or health information management; prior experience in medical records review or medical legal work is an advantage.
