The responsibility of the Medical Officer would include, but are not limited to -
Administrative Responsibilities
Student & Staff Healthcare
- Provide first aid and immediate medical attention to students and staff during accidents, injuries, or sudden illnesses.
- Conduct regular health check-ups, screenings, and medical assessments. Maintain student health records, including vaccination history, allergies, and chronic conditions.
Emergency & Crisis Management
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies on campus, stabilizing patients until further care is available.
- Coordinate with local hospitals/ambulance services for referral cases.
- Train staff and students in basic first aid and emergency response procedures.
- Preventive Healthcare & Awareness
- Organize health awareness programs, immunization drives, and wellness campaigns.
- Monitor hygiene and sanitation across school premises, including canteens and hostels.
- Advise on measures to control communicable diseases and seasonal health risks.
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and child protection guidelines. Maintain accurate medical records, reports, and documentation.
- Support inspections, audits, and accreditation requirements related to health.
Collaboration & Support
- Work closely with school counselors, sports coaches, and hostel wardens to ensure student well-being.
- Advise the administration on policies regarding student health, safety, and medical protocols.
- Act as the medical liaison between school, parents, and healthcare providers.
Community Engagement Responsibilities :
- Conduct health and wellness sessions for parents, students, and the wider school community.
- Participate in awareness drives on nutrition, hygiene, and adolescent health.
- Collaborate with community healthcare providers for joint health initiatives and medical camps.
- Promote a culture of safety, hygiene, and preventive care within the school workplace.
- Represent the institution in public health forums or education-related medical panels when required.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
- MBBS degree (mandatory); specialization in Pediatrics/General Medicine preferred.
- Valid registration with the Medical Council of India (MCI) or State Medical Council.
- 3–5 years of clinical experience, preferably in pediatrics, emergency care, or school health.
- Experience in first aid, emergency medicine, and preventive healthcare desirable.

- Ability to handle emergencies with calmness and efficiency.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with parents, staff, and students.

Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
