Company Description CurioNext Labs is a deep-tech wearables company focused on revealing critical biometric signals in high-stakes human environments. The team builds edge AI wearables that sense subtle, often overlooked indicators to support better decisions and outcomes. Its products serve children, schools, and underserved communities through biometric sensor fusion, on-device intelligence, and inclusive, human-centered design.

CurioNext Labs is incubated at IIT Madras Incubation Cell and supported by programs such as NVIDIA Inception and AWS Activate, offering a strong innovation ecosystem and technical backing.

Role Description The Mechanical Product Designer will contribute to the end-to-end design and development of wearable hardware products for real-world human contexts. This full-time, on-site role in Chennai involves translating user needs and research insights into mechanical concepts, prototypes, and manufacturable designs. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams (hardware, firmware, product, and design), creating 3D models and technical drawings, and iterating designs based on usability testing and performance data.

The role includes close work with suppliers and fabrication partners, experimentation with materials and ergonomics,

and continuous refinement of product designs to meet reliability, comfort, and safety requirements.

- Ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams, communicate clearly, and iterate quickly based on feedback and testing results.
- Experience with wearable devices, ergonomics, biometrics, or consumer hardware is an advantage.
- Comfort working in a quick-paced startup environment and willingness to be on-site in Chennai.
