Position: Mechanical Fitter

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Fitter to handle installation, maintenance, repair, assembly, and alignment of mechanical machinery and equipment in an industrial/plant environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, assemble, dismantle, and repair mechanical machinery and equipment.
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of mechanical equipment.
- Carry out fitting, alignment, leveling, and adjustment of machine components.
- Read and understand basic mechanical drawings and measurements.
- Use hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and fitting equipment.
- Inspect mechanical parts for wear, damage, leakage, and defects.
- Replace bearings, shafts, couplings, gears, valves, belts, and other mechanical components.
- Assist in machinery installation and commissioning activities.
- Perform cutting, drilling, grinding, and basic fabrication work when required.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas properly.
- Follow all safety procedures and use required PPE.
- Coordinate with welders, mechanics, electricians, and supervisors during maintenance work.




- Report equipment faults and maintenance requirements to the supervisor.

Qualification & Experience
- Qualification: ITI Fitter preferred; 10th/12th Pass with relevant experience may also be considered.
- Experience: 1–3 years of relevant experience in mechanical maintenance/fitting.
- Experience in steel, manufacturing, engineering, or industrial plants will be preferred.
- Freshers with ITI Fitter certification may be considered.

Required Skills
- Good knowledge of mechanical fitting and maintenance.
- Knowledge of bearings, shafts, couplings, gears, pumps, valves, and other mechanical components.
- Ability to use basic mechanical tools and measuring instruments.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical drawings and measurements.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in shifts and in an industrial environment.
- Safety-conscious and physically fit.
- Positive teamwork and communication skills.

Preferred Candidate A hardworking, disciplined, technically skilled, and safety-conscious candidate with practical knowledge of mechanical fitting, machinery maintenance, and industrial equipment. Pay: Up to ₹20,000.00 per month
