About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Marine Surveyor to join our team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in ship-related inspections and surveys, ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct vessel inspections, condition surveys, and marine assessments.
- Perform hull, machinery, cargo, and damage inspections as required.
- Prepare detailed survey reports and technical documentation.
- Verify compliance with applicable maritime regulations, classification society requirements, and industry standards.
- Coordinate with ship owners, operators, shipyards, and stakeholders during inspections.
- Assess repair requirements and provide technical recommendations.
- Attend onboard inspections and surveys at ports, shipyards, and operational locations for loadout and technical inspections
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of survey findings and reports.

Eligibility CriteriaEducational Qualification Applicants must possess any of the following:
- Bachelor's Degree in Naval Architecture
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Bachelor's Degree in Marine Engineering





Experience
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in ship-related inspections, surveys, marine operations, shipyards, classification societies, or related maritime sectors.
- Experience in conducting marine surveys and preparing technical reports is preferred.

Required Skills
- Strong technical knowledge of ships, marine systems, and maritime regulations.
- Good understanding of inspection and survey procedures.
- Report writing and documentation skills.
- Ability to analyze technical issues and provide practical recommendations.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Willingness to travel locally for vessel inspections when required.
