Key Responsibilities

- Tool Design & Development: Design, develop, validate, and maintain press tools, machining fixtures, jigs, welding fixtures, and testing fixtures for complex aerospace components.
- Customer Satisfaction: Ensure customer requirements are translated into effective tooling solutions, with timely technical support and delivery of tools that meet quality and performance expectations.
- Process Innovation & Execution: Drive tooling innovation, low-cost automation, process optimization, and continuous improvement across sheet metal, machining, welding, heat treatment, and surface treatment processes.
- Quality, Cost & Delivery (QCD): Optimize tooling solutions to improve manufacturing quality, reduce costs, enhance productivity, and ensure timely availability of tools and fixtures.
- Capability & Technology Development: Support new manufacturing capabilities for aerospace alloys such as Aluminium, Stainless Steel, Titanium, and Inconel, while contributing to NPD and strategic projects.
- Sustainability & People Development:



Develop technical capabilities within the tool design team through training and mentoring while supporting digitization, green initiatives, automation, and sustainable manufacturing practices.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to AS9100, ISO 9000, OHSAS/ISO 45001, EMS, ISMS, customer-specific requirements, and applicable safety and environmental standards.
- Tool Data & Governance: Maintain accurate tool documentation, history cards, design data banks, validation records, and technical information while ensuring confidentiality, integrity, and controlled access to critical information.

Requirements

- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical / Production Engineering; additional qualification in Indo-German Tool Design / NDTF will be preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience for Degree holders and 12 years for Diploma holders.
- Robust knowledge of Aerospace component manufacturing processes, along with thorough understanding of GD&T; and Press Tool Design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Creo, and CATIA, with good knowledge of surfacing and tooling design.
- Working knowledge of tool simulation software such as ANSYS, PAM-STAMP, and AUTOFORM.
- Strong conceptualization, interpersonal, collaboration, and time management skills with the ability to effectively work across cross-functional teams.
