Job PurposeThe Manager – Project Infrastructure will be responsible for planning, executing, and managing infrastructure projects for a pathology/laboratory business, including diagnostic laboratories, collection centres, offices, and associated facilities. The role will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality, safety, statutory, and healthcare requirements.

Planning &

• Execution

- Plan and execute new pathology laboratory, diagnostic centre, collection centre, and office infrastructure projects.
- Manage projects from site identification and design through construction, installation, commissioning, and handover.
- Prepare project plans, timelines, budgets, BOQs, resource requirements, and execution strategies.
- Track project milestones and ensure timely completion.

2. Infrastructure & • Engineering
- Coordinate civil, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire safety, networking, access control, UPS, DG, and other facility requirements.
- Ensure laboratory spaces are designed and executed as per operational and technical requirements.
- Review architectural layouts, MEP drawings, technical specifications, and BOQs.
- Coordinate installation and commissioning of laboratory-related infrastructure and equipment support systems.

3. Vendor & • Contractor Management
- Identify, evaluate, and manage contractors, architects, consultants, suppliers, and service providers.
- Obtain and evaluate quotations and support procurement teams in vendor finalization.
- Monitor contractor performance, workmanship, quality, timelines, and safety.
- Manage site meetings and resolve execution-related issues.

4. Budget & • Cost Management
- Prepare and monitor CAPEX and project budgets.
- Control project costs and identify opportunities for cost optimization.




- Validate contractor bills, work completion, and material consumption.
- Ensure projects are delivered within approved budgets.

5. Compliance, Quality & • Safety
- Ensure infrastructure projects comply with applicable statutory, fire, electrical, environmental, building, and safety requirements.
- Coordinate with Quality, Operations, EHS, and other stakeholders to meet pathology/laboratory requirements.
- Ensure appropriate documentation, approvals, testing, commissioning, and handover records are maintained.
- Support compliance requirements applicable to diagnostic laboratories and healthcare facilities.

Project

Coordination
- Work closely with Operations, Laboratory, Quality, Procurement, IT, Finance, HR, and senior management.
- Coordinate infrastructure readiness with laboratory equipment installation and operational launch schedules.
- Provide regular project status reports, including progress, costs, risks, and issues.
- Escalate critical delays and develop corrective action plans.

7. Maintenance & • Improvement
- Support infrastructure maintenance and facility improvement initiatives across existing pathology centres.
- Identify recurring infrastructure issues and implement preventive/corrective solutions.
- Standardize infrastructure specifications and layouts across centres wherever practical.

Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Project Management certification would be an advantage.

Experience
- 8–12 years of relevant experience in infrastructure/project management.
- Experience in pathology, diagnostic laboratories, hospitals, healthcare, pharma, or similar regulated environments preferred.
- Experience managing multiple projects/sites simultaneously.
- Solid experience in contractor, consultant, and vendor management.
