Role Overview The Manager – Legal will be responsible for managing company’s legal and compliance matters. The role will be responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory, employment, data privacy and protection, intellectual property, and contractual requirements. The role is expected to proactively identify and mitigate legal risks and work closely with internal stakeholders across business, technology, finance, HR, procurement, and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Safeguard the company’s interests by proactively identifying, assessing, and prioritising legal risks and recommending appropriate mitigation strategies aligning with companies corporate objectives.
- Draft, review, restructure, and negotiate a wide range of cross-border commercial agreements, including:
- Master Service Agreements and Statements of Work
- Vendor and professional services agreements
- IT procurement and software licensing agreements
- Data licensing and data-sharing agreements
- Consulting and staffing agreements
- Lease agreements
- Purchase agreements
- Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreements
- Other commercial and technology-related contracts
- Provide practical legal guidance to internal teams on contractual obligations, liabilities, risk exposure, and compliance requirements.




- Draft responses to show-cause notices, regulatory communications, legal notices, and other correspondence received from government or regulatory authorities.
- Develop and implement policies, processes, and compliance frameworks to ensure that the company and its wider ecosystem maintain adequate data protection and privacy measures.
- Ensure company’s and its Clients’ data and IP are well protected.
- Support awareness and training programmes on data protection, confidentiality, contracting practices, and other relevant legal matters for teams across global locations.
- Maintain a central repository of standard templates and executed agreements, manage contract workflows, and track key obligations, renewals, deliverables, and compliance requirements.
- Monitor changes in applicable laws and regulations, conduct legal research and analysis, and advise relevant teams on their implications.
- Partner with content, technology, operations, finance, HR, procurement, and other functions to address legal and compliance requirements.
- Provide periodic updates to senior management on material legal matters, contractual risks, regulatory developments, and mitigation actions.




- Coordinate with external legal counsel, regulators, and other external stakeholders, wherever required.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B.) from a recognised university. A master’s degree or additional qualification in corporate, technology, or data protection law will be an advantage.
- Enrolled with the Bar Council of India.
- Approximately 8–12 years of relevant experience in corporate and commercial law, preferably in a technology company, multinational organisation, law firm, or consulting setting.
- Strong experience in drafting and negotiating technology, software, data, procurement, and commercial contracts.
- Working knowledge of corporate laws, data protection and privacy regulations, intellectual property, employment-related legal matters, and general regulatory compliance.
- Working knowledge of contract management, digital/e-sign tools, and other legal tools/softwares.
- Experience supporting cross-border or global business operations will be preferred.
