About the team and the role:
At Swiggy, we are building the financial services ecosystem for our merchant partners. With deep transaction data, payout behavior, growth signals, and operational metrics across millions of orders, we are uniquely positioned to power various lending products for our partners.
The Lending team's mission is to enable fast and transparent access to capital for restaurant partners, directly within the Swiggy ecosystem. We work closely with external lenders (NBFCs/Banks), internal teams including data analytics, product, engineering, credit risk, legal & compliance to enable this scalable lending infrastructure.
This role involves you to work in the lending business team and manage strategic partnerships with lenders & TSPs, closely track end to end lead-flow backbone that the entire FS charter runs on and help deliver AOP targets for the business. We're looking for someone with strong logical and first-principles thinking who can go deep into data (flows, funnels, reconciliations) while also managing external partner relationships and negotiations.
Key Responsibilities
Manage partnerships and deliver AOP outcomes
- Be the partnerships point of contact for lenders and TSPs - both new and existing
- Identify and evaluate potential lending partners (banks, NBFCs, fintechs) whose capabilities align with Swiggy's financial services strategy and target segments
- Manage the full lifecycle of new lending partnerships, from integration and launch to ongoing performance monitoring and optimization
- Develop and execute strategies to deepen existing partnerships by exploring new initiatives, and driving incremental value along with tracking KPIs for each lender
- Manage due diligence in line with DLG guidelines with existing & new lenders
- Own legal documentation for all partnerships and work closely with legal and compliance to ensure timely closure
- Support and help deliver AOP targets for the team by driving performance across new & existing initiatives and scaling partnerships
Data & Lead Flow Ownership
- Own lead flow end-to-end and all data flow charters along with funnel conversions and work with the team on automation use cases for manual flows
- Own deep dives into data to spot trends, anomalies, drop-offs and identify improvement areas across funnels, translating findings into actionable fixes
- Own business reviews both internal and with lenders, backed by sharp data-backed narratives
Stakeholder management:
- Work closely with credit risk, product, engg, legal, compliance, finance and sales teams to ensure alignments across functions
- Collaborate with external stakeholders and drive business outcomes
What qualities we’re looking for
- 3-5 years of experience of working in high-impact and fast-paced business teams, managing partnerships and business operations with financial services & lending background
- Robust logical & analytical thinking. Should be comfortable working with data - flows, funnels, reconciliations and to find the "why" behind the numbers followed by data-driven decision making
- First-principle thinker & problem solver
- Deep understanding of the Indian lending ecosystem, including various lending products, credit assessment, loan lifecycle, and regulatory landscape
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly to diverse stakeholders
- Ability to work cross-functionally across internal & external stakeholders with strong negotiation skills
- High ownership, bias for action, and comfortable in operating amid ambiguity
- Education: MBA / Masters in Business, Finance, or related field
- Other skills: Hands-on experience in Excel is mandatory. Knowledge of SQL / Python will be an advantage
