Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end cost estimation and pricing by analysing RFQs, drawings, specifications, manufacturing processes, material requirements, cycle times, tooling, and market prices to develop competitive quotations.
- Conduct technical and commercial evaluations, including manufacturability, make-or-buy decisions, supplier costing, capacity, special processes, and aerospace quality requirements such as AS9100 and NADCAP.
- Support proposals and tenders through cost sheets, bid documentation, internal reviews, risk assessments, customer clarifications, negotiations, and contract finalisation.
- Maintain accurate cost databases and should-costing models, conduct estimated-vs-actual variance analysis, and identify opportunities for process optimisation and cost reduction.
- Ensure robust customer, audit, documentation, safety, and regulatory compliance, including traceability and adherence to AS9100, EMS, OHSAS, ISMS, and customer-specific standards.
- Promote information security,



environmental responsibility, energy conservation, operational discipline, and continuous improvement while ensuring confidentiality, integrity, and availability of business information.

Requirements

- Degree/Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or Aerospace Engineering with minimum 5 years of relevant experience for BE/B.Tech and 7 years for Diploma holders.
- Strong knowledge of machining and fabrication processes, including manufacturing methods, process planning, and production requirements.
- Familiarity with special processes such as surface treatment, heat treatment, NDT, testing, and other aerospace/engineering processes.
- Sound understanding of risk analysis, raw materials and their properties, taxation, duties, Incoterms, and commercial terms related to quotations.
- Basic knowledge of project management along with proficiency in MS Excel and AutoCAD; exposure to any 3D modelling software will be an added advantage.
- Demonstrated result orientation, effective communication, interpersonal skills, and customer-centric approach with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
