– Maintenance Executive

Location: Delhi / NCR Department: Operations Reporting To: Operations Manager – Delhi Experience: 3–7 years in retail/store/hospitality/commercial maintenance

Job Summary

We are looking for a hands-on Maintenance Executive to manage the day-to-day maintenance requirements of our retail stores across Delhi/NCR.

The person will be responsible for ensuring that refrigeration equipment, air conditioners, electrical systems, furniture and general store infrastructure remain in positive working condition. The role will involve carrying out basic repairs independently and coordinating with external technicians/vendors for specialised repairs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Refrigeration & Freezers

· Attend to basic servicing and troubleshooting of commercial refrigeration equipment’s

· Identify issues and coordinate with refrigeration technicians for major repairs.

· Ensure breakdowns are attended to quickly to minimise product loss.

· Follow up until the equipment is restored and operational.

2. Air Conditioners

· Handle basic servicing & maintenance and troubleshooting of split, cassette and other ACs.

· Coordinate with AC vendors for gas charging, compressor issues and major repairs.

· Ensure regular servicing is completed as per schedule.

3. Electrical Maintenance

· Handle basic electrical repairs such as lights, switches, sockets, wiring, MCBs, fixtures, etc.

· Identify electrical issues and arrange electricians wherever required.

· Procure commonly required electrical spares and consumables from local markets/vendors.

4. Furniture & General Repairs

· Attend to basic furniture, carpentry, fixtures, doors, locks, shelves and store fixture repairs.

· Coordinate with carpenters, plumbers, electricians, painters and other local technicians whenever required.

· Handle minor repair and maintenance jobs independently wherever possible.

5. Fire Safety

· Ensure that all fire extinguishers are serviced/refilled/recharged on time.





· Maintain a tracker of fire extinguisher validity and servicing dates.

· Coordinate with vendors for any fire extinguisher replacement or servicing requirements.

· Follow up on issues related to fire panels, smoke detectors and sprinklers with the Mall Management or specialised vendors.

6. Preventive Maintenance

· Conduct regular visits to stores and identify maintenance issues before they become major breakdowns.

· Maintain a store-wise maintenance checklist.

· Track upcoming servicing requirements for ACs, refrigeration equipment, coffee machines and other critical equipment.

7. Vendor Management & Procurement

· Identify reliable local vendors for electrical, refrigeration, AC, carpentry, plumbing and other maintenance requirements.

· Obtain quotations and negotiate where possible.

· Procure required electrical, refrigeration and maintenance spares.

· Ensure vendors complete jobs within the agreed timelines and at reasonable costs.

8. Emergency Support

· The candidate should be available on call 24x7 for critical store maintenance emergencies, particularly refrigeration, electrical and AC-related breakdowns.

· Should be able to reach the store or arrange the appropriate technician/vendor on priority when required.

Candidate Profile The candidate should primarily be a practical, hands-on maintenance person with good experience in retail, restaurants, hospitality, supermarkets or similar commercial establishments.

Preferred qualities:

· 3–7 years of practical maintenance experience.

· Good technical understanding of electrical, AC, refrigeration and general repairs work.





· Should be comfortable using basic tools and carrying out minor repairs himself.

· Should know how to identify a problem and decide whether it can be fixed internally or requires a specialist.

· Good knowledge of local vendors/markets for purchasing electrical and maintenance spares.

· Should be able to travel across Delhi/NCR stores.

· Should have good communication and follow-up skills.

· Two-wheeler/driving licence would be an advantage.

· Most importantly, should be reliable, responsive and proactive.

Key Performance Indicators

· Timely closure of store maintenance complaints.

· Minimum downtime of refrigeration and AC equipment.

· Timely servicing/refilling of all fire extinguishers.

· Completion of preventive maintenance schedules.

· Reduction in recurring breakdowns.

· Timely procurement of required spares.

· Effective control of maintenance costs.

· Proper maintenance records for all stores.

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
