About ZOCA
We are at $2.5Mn+ ARR, 1000+ beauty and wellness businesses on the platform, and a $6M Series A behind us. We are not starting out. But we are also nowhere close to where we want to be.
Zoca is building the growth infrastructure that small beauty and wellness businesses have never had access to. Online visibility, bookings, payments, customer retention, voice AI.
We want people who will think, challenge, ship, and own outcomes.
Why this role exists
There are roughly 8.5 million local service businesses in the United States. Almost every tool ever built for them helps run the business. Almost none of them brings anyone through the door.
Zoca is a growth system for those businesses, starting with beauty and wellness. More than 1,000 businesses use it today. We are backed by Accel, Elevation Capital, Better Capital, and GTM Fund. Our AI agents get a business found, answer its calls, book its clients, recover its drop-offs, and bring people back, all reading from one shared memory of that business.
Our customers are salon and med spa owners. They are busy, they have been sold to badly before, and they judge us on exactly one thing. Did more people walk in.
What You Will Own
- The path from signup to first visible win, measured in days rather than impressions.
- Progression from the ramp plan to the full plan, and every lever that moves it.
- The monthly value report. Every account should receive an honest account of what we did for them, including how many of the clients we brought were genuinely new rather than people who were coming anyway. Being straight about that distinction is a competitive advantage in this category, not a risk.
- Product communication.
Changelogs, in-app messaging, and release notes written for a salon owner rather than for an engineer.
- The knowledge base and the help content that both our AI front desk and our own team rely on.
- Positioning and enablement on the way in. Battlecards against the booking platforms, pricing communication, and launch messaging for new agents. This is a full product marketing seat, not only a retention one.
Your first 90 days The order here matters more than usual, and we will hold you to it.
- Write the definition of a result, and get it instrumented
Our pricing depends on a number, and a customer has to be able to read how we calculate it and agree.
Until that is true, nothing else you build can be trusted, and any communication on top of it makes disputes louder rather than quieter. Nothing else starts until this is done.
- Backtest the progression gate against real history
Run our criteria against accounts we already have and tell us honestly what it predicts. We would rather find out now that our own gate is wrong.
- Ship the first monthly value report to every account
Not a dashboard nobody opens. Something an owner reads in ninety seconds and believes.
- Rebuild the first 14 days after signup
So that a recent customer has one measurable win inside two weeks, and knows it happened.
What We Are Looking For
- 4 - 6 years in product marketing, lifecycle, or customer marketing at a SaaS company. Small business customers strongly preferred,
because enterprise instincts genuinely do not transfer to a salon owner with three staff.
- You have owned a retention or activation number rather than contributed to one.
- You can write clearly for a non-technical reader, with no marketing language anywhere near it.
- You are comfortable inside data.
You should be able to pull a cohort yourself and tell us what it says without waiting on anyone.
- You will tell us when a number is not real. In this seat that matters more than being right.
What This Is Not Not a campaign calendar role. Not a role where product tells you what to write and you write it. If the product experience is the reason customers are not getting value, we expect you to say so plainly and to push on it until it changes. You will have the access to do that.
How To Apply
No cover letter. Do this instead.
A salon owner signs up on a Monday. She has three staff, a booking system she already pays for, and no time.
Write what she sees and hears from us across her first 14 days, so that by day 14 she has had one win she would mention to another owner. Then tell us the single metric you would use to know it worked, and what would make that metric lie to you.
