About the Role:
We are looking for a smart, proactive, and detail-oriented individual who handle interactions with various government agencies, mainly CMDA and registrar offices with 3 to 4 years experience in organizing, filing, and maintaining all project-related documentation, including drawings, specifications, permits, and contracts in construction field. Who'll act as intermediaries between the construction company and these authorities, facilitating communication and ensuring smooth processing of applications to join our team. This role is confident reading documents, coordinating with clients, and handling government approvals.
Who’ll play a key role in coordinating legal paperwork, submitting applications with government departments, and ensuring all approvals and documentation stay on track. A mix of office coordination, field visits, and client-facing communication is involved.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with DTCP, RERA, TNEB, BOCW, Revenue, and other departments to secure building plan approvals, land use clearances, NOCs, occupancy/completion certificates, and environmental approvals.
- Build strong relationships with statutory authorities, consultants, and contractors; act as the single point of contact for all liaison matters.
- Ensure full legal and regulatory compliance; maintain updated records of approvals, licenses, agreements, and government correspondence; coordinate with legal teams on land/title documents.
- Assist project teams in resolving regulatory issues and provide compliance-related inputs during planning.
- Track approval progress, prepare MIS reports, update management, and highlight risks or delays with corrective actions.
- Should know to read and understand documentation
- Co ordinate with lawyers, know basic approval norms for buildings
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Solid knowledge of civil construction regulations, development control rules, and real estate compliances in Tamil Nadu.
- Good communication and negotiation abilities.
- English and Tamil (mandatory).
Responsibilities:
- Read and understand legal documents (MoUs, JDAs, POAs, etc.) and coordinate internally for revisions
- Follow up with clients, and government departments
- Prepare, file, and track applications for approvals in CMDA, RERA, Corporation, and Registration Offices
- Maintain digital and physical records and statutory documentation
- Coordinate document signatures, notarizations, registrations, and filing
- Track status of approvals and ensure timely compliance
- Communicate effectively with clients and government officers when needed
- Support senior management in project-level compliance and approvals
Qualifications:
- Diploma / Degree or related field
- Minimum 3 to 4 years experience in Liaison work, documentation, and client coordination in construction field.
- Good communication in English and Tamil (both are essential)
- Confident with email, Microsoft Office, Google Drive, and basic online portals
